The Shepherd
“Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and he said, ‘Sit here while I go over there to pray.’ He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. He told them, ‘My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.’ -Matthew 26:36-38

As I read this the Lord showed me a German Shepherd. I continued to read. Jesus went to the place called Gethsemane—which means “the oil press”. Luke 22:44 says that he was in such agony that his sweat became drops of blood, yet he came back to find his disciples asleep, “exhausted from grief.” Their grief was a worldly grief without hope because they could not yet see the glory that was coming. But Jesus was not overcome in his grief because he knew what was about to take place. He knew the tomb was about to be empty. Looking to the future glory, He was able to fully lay down his own will that the Father’s may be done.

German Shepherds - first bred for herding and protecting sheep, also used for search and rescue and as guard dogs, watch dogs, and service animals. They lead the blind, guard and protect, and are known for their fierce loyalty and courage.

When you find yourself in the oil press, you can be sure the Shepherd is the friend that never sleeps. He’s always keeping watch. He keeps watch over your soul, your heart, your destiny and the promises that are over your life when you don’t want to hope anymore. He’s the Shepherd that leaves the ninety-nine in search of the one. He’ll go after you again and again. He’ll lead you when you’re tired and you don’t know the way and can’t see what’s ahead. When you lack strength, He never grows tired or weary. When you’re crushed to the point of despair, when your soul is in anguish and you feel like you’re completely alone, you can know that He understands. But He also sees the glory that’s ahead. He grieves with you, but He does not grieve as one that lacks hope because where you see death He sees resurrection. “Take heart,” He says, “I have overcome the world.” by @lamppost_prophetic

Fresh revelation is coming. I’m bringing it. Hold on tight. Climb higher, I’ll meet you there. There’s grace at every level. I’m bringing it down. There will be more. Not striving, only grace.

Keep taking each step of obedience. One step at a time. Wherever you are on the staircase, He meets you there but there’s always an invitation to come higher. Look up with expectation. There will be more.

Staircase - pursuit of Him
Water - Holy Spirit, revelation of Him
Fish - the masses; those that will be reached/touched as a result of your intimacy with and obedience to Him

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” -James 4:8

“And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! And behold, the Lord stood above it and said, ‘I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac.” -Genesis 28:12-13

Note: I started this one after not picking up a paintbrush in months, just trying to get something down on paper but it wasn’t coming out great. Or at least not the way I wanted. Although to be honest I didn’t know what I was going for. But the Lord said to me, “You’re not ruining it—you’re finding it.” (😭) And I think that can apply so much to our walks with Him. We don’t have to do it perfectly. We take a step and He meets us there. We don’t know where we’re going but it’s more about the journey with Him. He just wants us closer, even if the journey getting there feels messy and uncertain. He wants your obedience and your heart, not your perfection. by @lamppost_prophetic

Overflowing Grace
David went into the valley armed only with a staff and a sling. Five smooth stones, plucked from the stream and carried in a shepherd’s bag. He wasn’t equipped with the armor of man, but with the grace that came straight from the stream. Five stones shaped and formed in the rushing and washing of water. And a staff—a shepherd’s staff. That was what he brought with him to defeat the enemy. The true Shepherd, the Son of David, goes before us in every situation. In everything we face, when we’re following the leading of the Shepherd’s staff and carrying with us the grace that comes from the streams of living water, we have all we need to overcome and succeed. It may be foolish in the eyes of man, but the armor of man will only hinder us. The fear and wisdom of man is a heavy burden that weighs down every step, but the grace of God makes our steps secure and our journey light. Strip off the burdens you’re not meant to carry and go straight to the stream. Overflowing grace is your portion.

Five stones - the number of grace
Streams of water - washing in the Word, the secret place, intimacy with the Holy Spirit
Music measures - grace in endless measure (5 measures); intimacy; the weapon of worship
Sandals - readiness, lightness, shoes of peace (we can be at total peace when we know we’re walking in step with Him)

1 Samuel 17

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.” -Psalm 23:5 by @lamppost_prophetic

“Step by Step”
You’re boundless when you’re bound to me
No limits to where we can go
No heights will be too high for us, no depths will be too low
There’s more for you
You’ll see, you’ll hear
My grace abounds
So come up here
Step up higher, don’t turn around
We’ve come too far to turn back now.
When you’re yoked to Me, make no mistake
This journey takes a child’s faith, but the ground you’re walking on will shake
For the impact will be very great
You’ll leave a HOLY IMPRINT everywhere you go,
like angels children leave behind them, lying in the pure white snow
Draw near to me, I’ll draw near to you
Put on your armor, strap on your shoes
I’ll take you up on eagle’s wings
When you’re bound to me, you will not sink
So walk by faith and not by sight
Step by step is how we’ll climb
The mountain that’s in front of you is conquered one step at a time

“Though my sins were scarlet, you made them white as snow.”

Snow - sins washed clean, pure, spotless
Red - blood of Christ covering every step
Snowshoes - Walking in victory. Walking in freedom. Walking out the life that’s been paid for by Christ. Overcoming the shame of the past. Stepping into the freedom He’s paid for and enables us to live in. Journey of sanctification. by @lamppost_prophetic

“Long-suffering”
Change is in the air. His power is abundant and all-sufficient. A new wind is blowing and a new season is starting. The time has come. Power is being released. His favor. His fervor, flowing from His throne. Strength to the weary and to the feeble—strength from the secret place to bring forth what the Lord has purposed. A new day is arising. He’s calling His sons and daughters in from afar, prodigals returning home. “Return to me, and I will return to you.” There will be healing and miracles. Joy. Hope. Promises and provision. Eyes and ears opened wide to what the Lord will do. Those who have been in waiting will find themselves fulfilled and renewed, like calves from a stall with a new song on their lips. He’s calling the millennials to rise up, those who feel they’ve fallen behind. Keep running. His grace is sufficient. The wind is increasing and the day has come.

“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” -Isaiah 40:28-31

“Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts” -Zechariah 1:3, Malachi 3:7

“But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts” -Malachi 4:2-3

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts” -Zechariah 4:6 by @lamppost_prophetic

“Come Under My Light”
Come and sit under My light. Be still in My presence. Let Me work. Let Me uproot. Let Me fill. Let Me cleanse. Be still. You’re not in a rush. I have healing for you. I have wisdom for you. I have oil for you. I’m filling every cavity. I’m bringing alignment where there’s been misalignment. You’re hearing me, just sit still. I will bless it. Open your mouth and I will fill it. Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat. Old habits die hard, but don’t be alarmed. Sit under My arm and let me work. Sit still. Stay still. Be still. I will see this through.

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer” - Psalm 19:14

“Feast of Trumpets”
Blow the horn. Awaken to the music like a breath of fresh air. His people will see. His people will hear. Justice and truth are going forth as sure as the sun. The warrior bride is arising and responding. The time has come. The feast is prepared and the harvest is ready. He will judge. It’s a turning point moment where truth is coming to light. The bricks are being exposed. There will be many who will see and repent and many who will not. It’s a Valley of Jehoshaphat moment, a Valley of Decision. Multitudes will come in. The harvest is ripe. The vats are overflowing. Captives will be set free. Liberty will be proclaimed.

Joel 2-3

“For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life.” - 2 Cor. 2:15-16

Honeysuckle - a sweet aroma but can be considered invasive; “to one a fragrance from death to death, to another a fragrance from life to life”
Grapes - harvest; God’s chosen people
Music - chorus of voices; sound of triumph and victory; full measure
Plumb Line - standard of truth and justice

“Fulfillment”
The windows are open. Prophetic promises are being fulfilled. Now is the time. The ark is closed and the waters are coming. Prophets are arising. Prophetic instruments. Prophetic voices of all kinds are coming into alignment. Rest in His promises, just as the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. His promises are sealed and secure. They’re being released over all the Earth. A new wind is blowing. It will be by His Spirit, not by the works of man. Watch and see.

“On that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened.” Gen 7:11

“Laughing at the Door of the Tent”
If you only knew. If only you knew what I have for you. If you could only see. If you could only hear. If you could only listen. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you now. You would only laugh in disbelief for all I have in store for you. Stand at the door and listen. Believe. Stand in awe and wonder at what I will do through you. Though the tent you’re standing in feels so small, so cramped, wait and see. In due time you’ll see it expand. In due time I’ll tell you my plans. But will you listen at the door?

“And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years. The way of women had ceased to be with Sarah. So Sarah laughed to herself, saying ‘After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?’ The Lord said to Abraham, ‘Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord?’” - Gen 18:10-14

“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.” - Isaiah 54:2 by @lamppost_prophetic
