Happy x6, @mikeupshur ! 🎉 6 years, 4 addresses, 4 cars, more job titles than I can count, a family that grew from 3 to 5, and passport stamps from Italy to China... and somehow we’re still choosing each other every time. They say moving is one of the top 5 most stressful life events — we did it 4 times, plus everything else, and came out closer instead of cracked. That’s not luck. That’s what happens when you stop trying to lead your own life and let God lead it instead. I love watching you do that, Mike — put Him first and let Him steer us. Here’s to the home we’re building (literally) and the life He’s building through us. I’d pack another 4 U-Hauls for you, baby. Well hiring movers is more my style but you get it lol!! ❤️ by @lana_fae

Not every part of building a custom home happens on-site.

Our first shipping container is on its way from China to the United States 🚢

We’ll keep you updated as Container 1 makes its way across the ocean.

The Wait. 🏗️

No hammers swinging on-site right now, but trust us, we haven’t stopped moving.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been coordinating with 3 of our 7 vendors, consolidating priority cargo to a central warehouse in Foshan, and finalizing the paperwork to get our very first shipping container cleared and on its way to us.

We’ll be sure to share an update when those doors seal. Live photos and container footage coming soon. 🚢

Sometimes the work you can’t see is the most important work of all.

🏗️ Framing inspection: done. Roof: going up. China production: in full swing.

After electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins all passed, we had our framing walkthrough with the windows and exterior doors in. Now the roofers are on-site — and it’s finally starting to feel real. 🙌

Behind the scenes, we’ve been coordinating with our team in China for months, finalizing measurements and designs for TWO full shipping containers of materials. Load day for Container 1 is almost here. 🚢

✅ READY TO SHIP
Furniture · Turf · Exterior paneling · Decking · Toilets · Vanities · Fixtures · Tubs

🔄 IN PRODUCTION
Glass railing · Flooring · 3D wall paneling · Kitchen cabinets · Tile · Sinks · Custom closets

Sourcing overseas isn’t for the impatient — but the quality and value make it worth it.
