WHO’S SARI NOW darling? 😂

Not a drag act.
Not a character.
Not a trend.
Not trans just a naturally Androgynous Epicence Hyper Effeminate natal male bloke with woman face and big ole POOFTER.

AL LANAH IS NOT SARI.

I’m a naturally Androgynous Epicence Hyper Effeminate homo bloke with a woman face, often a theatrical event wrapped in sequins, kaftans, cabaret history and pure survival instinct. One minute Mesopotamia, the next Camden Town. One minute Dorothy Squires, the next Eartha Kitt. Glitter, glamour and a little social commentary stitched into every hemline.

The kaftan was once a symbol of status, power and identity.
Well… some of us never stopped treating it that way.

Born to entertain.
Built to provoke.
Dressed to outlive mediocrity.

And remember… glitter is never optional.

Featured in @i_D magazine – thank you for telling my story and giving space to the pioneers who fought, performed, and refused to be erased. 💜 From the “darkest depths of Grimsby” to the heart of London’s club culture, and now viewed as the counter culture within the counter culture, my journey has never been ordinary. It’s been survival in sequins, defiance with a microphone, and theatre in its most unapologetic form.

This feature isn’t just about nostalgia – it’s about the battles we fought and the flames we lit that still burn today. From Pistol in My Pocket to underground cabaret, from Leigh Bowery to the queer revolution on stage and screen, I’ve lived my life as living art. Every song, every scar, every show has been about pushing boundaries and reminding the world that queerness in the original meaning of it is power. ✨

So thank you, i-D, for seeing me not just as a performer but as part of history. For honouring the chaos, the beauty, and the truth that shaped who I am. The story isn’t finished – the stage lights are still on, the voice is still loud, and the best is always yet to come. 🔥.. init

Lanah P — pop culture icon and the counter culture within the counter culture and now a full feature in QX Magazine. From the raw fire of Pistol in My Pocket to stages, screens and underground clubs, I’ve never been afraid to live loud, stand bold and carve my own space in culture. This isn’t just about a look back, it’s about showing that the magic, the fight and the glamour are very much alive. 💎✨

To be recognised by QX is more than a spotlight — it’s a reminder that unfiltered truth, camp theatrics and unapologetic energy will always have a place in the world. My story has always been one of survival, reinvention and art that refuses to be silenced. And believe me, the best is still to come. 🔥

wonderful evening at Life Barbers, Drury Lane ✂️🥂
What a joy to celebrate the reopening of this truly special London institution at 177 Drury Lane, Covent Garden.
Established in 1920, Life Barbers has been part of the fabric of London life for more than a century — a place where tradition, community and a genuine spirit of service have always gone hand in hand.
Last night was a beautiful celebration: champagne, exquisite little hors d’oeuvres, charming barber goodie bags and, most importantly, wonderful company.
A very special thank you to Remy, the General Manager — a wonderful Romanian whose warmth and hospitality made the evening so memorable. ❤️
I was particularly touched by the stories of Life Barbers’ history and its connection with the Haim family, as well as its tradition of giving back to the community — from helping those experiencing homelessness and supporting military personnel, to contributing to charities, including those supporting our war veterans. And serving the Westend theatre community and Barber to the Stars in it's time Frank Sinatra , David Bowie, John Lennon, Richard Burton,Peter O'Toole,Danny La Rue, Freddie Mercury and many others.
It was a privilege to raise a glass to the reopening and to the continuation of such a wonderful piece of London heritage.
Congratulations, Remy, and everyone at Life Barbers.
Wishing you every continued success for the next chapter. 🥂
Here’s to tradition, community, friendship — and many more wonderful years on Drury Lane. ✂️❤️

A little Kabbalah, a little glitter, and a lot of soul… ✨ Ok we all know Madonna did it but now it's this bitches turn
What a wonderful evening at the Kabbalah Centre here in London — and such a pleasure to have a fascinating conversation with Marcus Weston, senior spiritual teacher and master in Kabbalah, and mentor to many successful people across the business world and show business. And how refreshing to step outside the usual noise and explore the ancient teachings of Kabbalah — a 4,000-year-old spiritual tradition concerned with consciousness, our connection to the Divine, and discovering the deeper meaning of our souls purpose.
Alongside Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism, these teachings have helped me strip away some of the layers — the expectations, the labels, the assumptions — and get closer to discovering who I really am and what my soul’s purpose might be.
Because let’s face it… when you’re a little bit out there, a little bit glittery, and perhaps not entirely committed to fitting neatly into anybody’s box… people are going to have their perceptions! 😂✨
But here’s the thing:
What people think of me is none of my business.
I know who I am.
I’m the expert on me. 💎
And perhaps the greatest freedom is not needing everyone else to understand you in order to know yourself.
So thank you to everyone at the Kabbalah Centre for making me feel so welcome, so comfortable and so completely at home. ❤️
I wish you well.
I wish the world well.
I wish peace throughout the entire world, happiness to all living beings, and an end to the forces that bring harm and suffering to humanity.May we all find a little more light, a little more wisdom, a little more compassion BUT not suicidal compassion for our Detractors.…and, naturally, a lot more honesty ✨🕊️💎

@sharry.clark @jewishnews @jewishpridealways I think this version sounds much more like a personality-led Instagram post rather than a formal spiritual reflection — and the “I’m the expert on me” line gives it a very strong signature. by @lanah.p

I love the creative process and the confines of the oasis of the recording studio, recording a version — my version, my interpretation — of a well-known classic by Joni Mitchell, which I shall be bringing out in the spring of next year. So that's something else to look forward to.
There’s nothing like the rescue of the creative process in the studio — a rescue from today’s environmental and political hubris, which is a melding of ignorance of the past and arrogance of a generation that thinks it knows it all, going towards a very dark future.
But anyway, I don’t wish to bring the tone down. I just wish to bring a rescue from normality and banality, and I’m just so grateful to be in this moment because, like the great actress and comedienne Joyce Grenfell used to say — apart from “George, don’t do that!” — she also reminded us that all we have is this minute, and we’re in it.
Anyway, I’m looking forward. It’s all about preparation, preparation. We have my new Christmas single being released on the 6th of November, and a wonderful launch to go with it. So we have a lot to look forward to next month, leading up to one of my very, very favourite times of the whole year: Christmas. After all, being British, we are culturally and constitutionally Christian, so we must celebrate the birth of love in the form of Jesus Christ. And we are, of course, Being BRITISH 🇬🇧 culturally and constitutionally Christian, whether we are Buddhist, spiritualist, atheist Or whatever belief you have. Christianity must always be Central to our Constitution. And we must remind the Evil servants of MAMMON globalist politicians of THIS. We must always praise and elevate our PATRIOTISM 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to our country.SO always be in the moment, people. Always, be for BRITISH 🇬🇧 life. And thank you to everyone involved in helping me to stay buoyant in the business because, after all, it’s not just about me.
It takes a team to make a star. ✨A very special thanks to DAVID! DAVID! for financing everything

out on the tiles with the legendary icon and genius talent that is Boy George. ❤️
I’ve always admired George through his ups and downs, his ins and outs. In many ways, we’re kindred spirits. He’s always stuck his head above the parapet. He never followed the crowd — he observed it. He’s an individual.
A working-class lad, like myself. Someone who gender-bended in the ’80s, like myself. And I’m still doing it — and so is he, judging by that fabulous eye makeup. 😂
What a hero. And what courage to stand up against antisemitism in the 21st century — in this third millennium of ours.
So here I am, having a whale of a time with Boy George and thinking how bloody wonderful it is to be alive.
There’s an old Chinese proverb that says, “May you live in interesting times.” Well… in my quieter moments, I sometimes wish they weren’t quite this fucking interesting. 😂
But here we are, in this mental matrix called life on this spinning rock in space. And when you feel like you’re wading through the merde, keep going. I’ve had to learn how to turn a lot of merde into manure — and I intend to keep doing so until the end of my mortal coil.
All strength to everyone standing against antisemitism and hatred. May we have the courage to stand in what we believe to be true without allowing truth itself to become our enemy.
Gratitude to Boy George. Gratitude to everyone who refuses to blindly embrace negative popular narratives. I’ve never been part of the crowd, and I’ve never needed a movement to liberate me. I was liberated from the day I was born.
Selling my soul to inherit the earth, or joining groups that are fundamentally at odds with my own conscience, has never been my bag.
I’d rather spit in the devil’s eye.
And I would. And I feel I have, throughout my life.
So — all power to our Jewish brothers and sisters. And all power to you 🇮🇱❤️
Long live Israel, long live peace, and may there be happiness, dignity, and freedom for all living beings.
And perhaps, one day, we can finally turn down the volume on the wokey-cokey mind virus.
God bless you all. ❤️

I’ve reached a place where I genuinely don’t care about being in show business anymore.
I don’t care about playing it safe, being accepted or selling my soul for approval.
These are dangerous, deeply unsettling times. Our country, identity, history and future are being fiercely debated and, in my view, threatened by forces we should be willing to confront honestly — with Elbow Power.
My foundations were built on protest. I stood up in the 80s and 90s because I believed in speaking out, even when it wasn’t comfortable. I’m not prepared to embrace narratives simply because they’re popular or socially acceptable.
I’m deeply concerned about radical political Islam, extremist movements, antisemitism and the way complex issues surrounding Israel and Palestine are reduced to slogans, tribalism and identity politics.
I believe we should be able to care about Palestinian lives while acknowledging Jewish history, Jewish suffering and the reality of antisemitism. Compassion shouldn’t require us to choose which innocent people deserve it.
I’m tired of people being afraid to speak because they might lose work, followers or approval. I reject suicidal compassion and irrational Altruism it's a mind virus. Questioning a popular narrative does not automatically make someone hateful.
So yes, I’m going to say what I think — including when I strongly disagree with public figures such as Macklemore and believe their commentary has been profoundly ill-informed. Public figures should be prepared to accept scrutiny when they enter complicated political debates.
I’m not interested in a world where everyone repeats the same approved opinions.
I’d rather be honest and unpopular than successful because I pretended to be someone I’m not.
So I’m not shutting my gob.
You can hate me for who I really am— but I’m no longer interested in being loved for someone I’m not. Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for being one of them.
Have a lovely day. ❤️ From naturally Androgynous Epicence Hyper Effeminate natal male bloke with woman face And I did not come to sell my soul to inherit the Earth or Embrace islam id rather spit in the Devil's eye and I Would...init. by @lanah.p

More than anything, I love London. I love being English. I love being British. 🇬🇧

Born and bred here, my skin may be brown, but red, white and blue has always run through my veins.

I love our British history, our traditions, our humour, our satire, our irony, our intellect, our eccentricities and the fact that we are Culturally and constitutionally Christian the and Jewish Religion is important and central to our lives and identity and all the wonderful idiosyncrasies that make Britishness what it is.

I love living on this sacred ground I call home. I am proud of our heritage and proud of the unique character of Britain and London.

For me, celebrating Britishness is about remembering who we are, valuing what has been handed down to us, and having the confidence to celebrate our own identity without guilt or apology.

I believe we can embrace diversity while still being unapologetically proud of our British heritage. When in Rome, do as the Romans do — and when Britain is your home, cherish the traditions and culture that make it Britain.

So let’s fly our flag, celebrate our history, celebrate London, and celebrate being British. And show zero tolerance towards any treason or trashing us, if Anyone doesn't like our country 🇬🇧 or way of life then let's help them pack including Globalist traitor Governments.

No guilt. No falling for the Gaslight No shame. No apology.

It’s time to be proud of Britain again. 🇬🇧

We are the land of hope and glory.

God bless Britain. ❤️🇬🇧

As a naturally androgynous, epicene, hyper-effeminate, natal-male bloke with a woman’s face, in many ways, right from the very beginning, I never had any qualms about who I was or what I was meant to be.
I know I’ve had to go right out on a limb — and right overboard at times — in order to discover who I was and where my strength lies.
And I think adversity introduces a person to themselves.
It strips away the comfortable assumptions, the expectations, the things we are told we should be, and eventually leaves us face-to-face with who we actually are.
Obviously, coming from a background that tells you that you’re not enough brings its own issues to face and sort out, and I thinkI’ve done that with aplomb.
As far as the gay scene was concerned, I never felt that I had to embrace it.
I never really felt part of it.
If I did participate, it was often forced, or simply part of the learning experience of finding my way.
But I never felt that I needed to belong to it, nor did I feel any need to embrace what I perceived as the more lascivious side of it.
I never felt the need to take drugs, join in with any of that crap, or lead some kind of illicit life. And that’s not to say I’m a prude — because I’m certainly not.
I can be quite conservative and moralistic on certain levels, but I’ve also flattened a hell of a lot of grass in my time — which is my euphemism for having a fair few bunk-ups all over the place! In fact, I’m rather amazed I didn’t catch AIDS in the ’80s, considering the amount of grass I was flattening.
But underneath all of that, I’ve always felt myself to be in the hands of the Great Spirit.
I’ve never really felt lonely.
I’m never bored when I’m present, because I’ve always felt a sense of presence around me.Perhaps that comes from my spiritualist practice and background.
I’ve always felt that life was haunted — that we are all energy, and that we’re not simply going anywhere when this physical life ends.
I’ve always believed that those who have gone before us, those we have known and loved, are really only behind a veil; woven into some other dimension that is, in some mysterious way, woven in

funnily enough, I don't wear ladies' lingerie. I don't travel in ladies' underwear, because I'm a geezer — just a hyper Effeminate naturally Androgynous Epicence bloke with a woman's face. (And I don't believe that men are women Although I see they can be something like one and that's fine so long as they don't overstep the parameters) Even when David is trying to be a bit kinky, I usually surprise him with dungarees and Doc Martens.
But anyway, joking aside, here's Lily Allen in intiMissini — is it called? — the place in Covent Garden on Long Acre, where they sell luxurious, affordable biological ladies underwear lingerie. A wonderful Italian brand, I love the Italians 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🍝🍕🍝
And here's Lily Allen, who I used to hold as a tiny baby — when Alison Allen, producer and CEO of Ruby Films, gave birth to Lily, and father Keith Allen, who I met in the 1980s when I was squatting at 28 Colville Terrace amidst the Notting Hill riots, and Keith lived next door but two to me.
Keith gave me my first job In television. He introduced me to Peter Richardson, who originated The Comic Strip Presents on Channel 4 Television and made me a bit of star in the 1980s, and Ruby Wax gave me my second job in television at ITV.
My first television director for major television was Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees.
Anyway, here's Lily, all grown up, showing all tomorrow's washing in the middle of Covent Garden, in the glittering West End of London — a city that we love, a city that's very British, and that we're going to keep that way.
So enjoy.
And Lily, put a vest on.

❤️✨ HAPPY ROSH HASHANAH ✨❤️
To all my wonderful Jewish friends, I want to wish you a beautiful, peaceful and blessed Rosh Hashanah.
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year — a time of reflection, renewal, hope and new beginnings. 🍎🍯
Today, I want to say thank you.
Thank you to the Jewish people who have been a very vehement part of my life and my journey. Thank you for your kindness, your love, your support, and for helping me throughout my life and career. Thank you for opening doors for me, believing in me, and standing beside me when I needed it most.
I will never forget those who looked after me and watched over me during the years I spent in a children's home, from 13 to 18, after leaving an abusive family home situation. Your kindness and compassion and wisdom helped me through some of the hardest years of my life.
I carry that gratitude in my heart. ❤️
So today I am sending love, light and blessings to Jewish people everywhere, all around the world. 🌎✨
May the year ahead see the total eradication of trendy Antisemitism, Bring you peace, happiness, good health, love and many beautiful new beginnings.
Shana Tova. 🍎🍯
Happy Rosh Hashanah. ❤️✡️
With love and light, always. ✨
