In honor of being cleared today 🥳 I decided to make a post to talk about this because I tried the whole time to avoid it. I tried to avoid the crying and the questions, but I couldn’t. I had wonderful people by my side to dry my tears. I can’t thank everyone enough. My friends, community, my mom, my family, my coaches, teammates , and my papaw. You’ve all been so encouraging to me and the money you raised really meant so much. I’ve been so blessed with everyone around me. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much in my life. And I hate crying. I cried because I was scared, because I thought my papaw was going to die, I was going to die or the Dower girls. I really hope they are doing well and having the best recovery. I also cried because I couldn’t play in sectional with my best friends and I knew I wouldn’t be allowed to play for a long time. We went out that day to practice basketball and get ready for sectional. I wrecked because of basketball, got hurt, recovered and now I finally get to play again. A few months ago I couldn’t walk on both legs, I could barely sit up, and I was the weakest I’ve probably ever been. Before the wreck I was probably the most fit and strong id been. Now I get to work my way back.I can’t wait to be even stronger, play with my friends, and get back to normal. As for my papaw. I don’t know what I’d do if it ended differently. All I heard was you telling them to get me out. The whole recovery you were wondering how I was doing. You made sure I got my medicine, my appointments, and improved. I’m so lucky to have you in life and I’m so proud of how far you’ve came. You’re working your butt off.My mom has been the rock. She tried not to cry but sometimes it slipped. She handled this with grace and put on a face for me. She snuck snacks while I slept because she felt bad I couldn’t eat. She pushed me to get up out of the hospital bed. No matter how old I get I’ll always need her Thank you everyone. I have so much love for you!!❤️ by @lanap280

this team was so special and will always have a special spot in my heart. I love yall more then you’ll ever know. not the greatest way to go out but thankful for the season i got. ready to be back again. ❤️‍🩹 #sophomoreszn by @lanap280
