Lance Sobaski, Welcome to Driftless ⛰️

Lance secured his undergraduate degree at Wartburg College majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing Management and a minor in Leadership📚

He is currently employed as a Recruiter with Insight Global in Des Moines, IA.🌽

⚔️ During his time as a Knight, Lance led by example on and off the track. As a team leader, he helped his team to three podium finishes at the NCAA Dlll National Cross Country Meet as well as multiple conference championships in XC and Track. He joins Driftless with leaving a lasting impact on Wartburg’s Team Culture.

Lance!

The Portland Track Festival remains fruitful for D3 Steeple greats!

Last night, Lance Sobaski becomes the 5th D3 Athlete to break 8:40 in the steeple (All-Dates)!

He moves to #2 on the All-Dates list behind Christian Patzka's 8:31.89 and just ahead of Wartburg grad Christopher Collet's 8:38.46.

Sobaski and Collet went 1-2 last night with Collet running 8:38.49.

*All-Dates list consists of marks after the season is over. Marks are not record eligible for the ustfccca list

The outcome isn’t guaranteed, however the growth God is working through you always is. The fear of not being enough has stopped more than failure ever will. Patience teaches what immediacy never could: that becoming is more important than arriving. Four years later and it’s hard to put into words what Wartburg has meant to me. Every mile, every lesson, every relationship shaped a chapter I’ll carry forever. Grateful for where the journey has taken me and blessed for wherever the road leads next.🙏

On Thursday, Lance Sobaski started off STEEPLE SZN with a bang.

Under the lights at WashU, Sobaski blitzed to a 3rd All-Time performance in the Steeple by running 8:40.85.

He was 6th last year at Nationals.

This is the earliest time in the Top 20. No other top 20 marks have been run in the month of March.
