Trying to get these guys home - The @greatlakesgroup newest tug, the Puerto Rico, along with @uscggreatlakes Ice Breaker Bristol Bay are working in subzero temps to free up a path for the M/V Sam Laud so it can finish the season. The USCG Bristol Bay will be escorting the M/V Sam Laud across a nearly completely frozen Lake Erie for her winter layup in Ashtabula. ❄️

The Sam Laud was slated for several more critical shuttles from Cleveland Bulk Terminal to the Cleveland-Cliffs steel mill, but extreme cold temps turned the river into a solid sheet—cutting the season short earlier than planned.
Respect to the crews of both the freighters that are still working through this harsh winter, and those crews keeping the lakes moving until the very end. 🌊💪 taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @lanceaerial

The Tamarack left safety of the Canadian shore while Lake Erie is still angry with 10ft + waves. Following it on Marine Traffic it's been slowly chugging along at 4-6 knots taken in Lake Erie by @lanceaerial

Cleveland City Council voted Monday to rename the stretch of Lake Erie along the city’s shoreline the “Gulf of Cleveland,” extending two miles offshore 🌊

The resolution is a political response to Trump’s renaming of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario, and calls for Apple and Google to recognize the name on their maps.

What do you think of the move? taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @lanceaerial

Catching the Blue angels lined up coming in for landing - #2 had flaps issue apparently so he had to go around again. Seems like he had issues again today half way through the air show taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @lanceaerial
