My origin story.

It is 1982 when I am born.
I grew up in the heart of South Central, Los Angeles, and I was a beautiful and intelligent boy, but unfortunately poor. Life on the streets was unforgiving, and my hunger for more pushed me to dream beyond survival. Even if it meant leaving behind the friends I call family.
When a high school scholarship opens the gates to an elite boarding school, I step into a world of privilege and power I only studied from a distance and I was determined to prove I belong. So, I hide my poverty behind charm and wit, until a pathetic villainous insignificant brat threatens to expose me.
Meanwhile, family secrets begin to surface, and with them, the realization that my world wasn't a place of opportunity, but a battlefield. And privilege and power isn't something given, its taken.
But I faced the war.
With a smile.

Since I've failed to meet a deadline-it is what it is-I started this. It's my my day off. What better way to spend it than inside the pages of a new adventure.
I've heard nothing but positive reviews.
Let's see what the hype is about.

Playing so vividly in my mind, I watch the way God might---present, aware---but unlike Him---powerless to change the course of my life."

The one person who taught me the difference between truth and lies, good and evil, love and hate, life and death.

Some lessons are learned young---and are paid for in tears...
