Survived a three day boat tour and digital detox exploring some of the 7000 exquisite islands of the Philippines 🇵🇭 It was incredible! We joined a @keelooma tour from El Nido to Coron. The crew was amazing, the food was unforgettable and the snorkelling was beyond beautiful! Loved meeting some great new people. Over the past few years my body has changed in so many ways. And it has been painful coming to terms with the fact that I now live in a deeply stigmatized type of body - a fat body. A body with a large belly. A body that makes me invisible to the majority of men and beautiful despite, not because of, my size to fellow women. I have felt so much shame about my size. And then this weekend, this very same body walked (at least 😅) 28 very treacherous kilometers - something that I thought would be impossible in a body like mine. I laughed and stood in awe of the mountains and connected with the most beautiful people in this very body - proof that this body is still capable of the most important parts of being fully human, and that in this body I am still both soft and strong.
