It's the final Thursday of our 40th Academic Year -- time for one last #ThrowbackThursday! And that also means it's time to Save the Date for this year's Landmark College Alumni Homecoming event!

All alumni are invited back to Putney to join us from September 26-27, with special reunion celebrations for classes ending in 1 and 6 — from the Class of 1986 through the Class of 2021.

Today, nearly 200 educators descended on Landmark College’s campus to participate in the first day of the College’s annual Summer Institute. The Summer Institute is an opportunity for education professionals to reboot their learning and refresh their enthusiasm for supporting students who learn differently.

Molly Perlmutter '26 had a simple goal when she set up additional bird feeders around campus: bring birds into a consistent, observable space where she could study their behavior, photograph them up close, and help foster a more bird-friendly environment at Landmark College. The results have exceeded anything she imagined.

The Landmark College community mourns the passing of Charles Scureman Strauch, Founding Chairman of the Landmark College Board of Trustees, and the most generous benefactor in the College’s history. Strauch died peacefully at his home on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on May 10, 2026, just days short of his 91st birthday.

For more than four decades, Strauch helped imagine, build, and sustain the institution that today stands as the nation’s premier college for students who learn differently. His belief in Landmark’s mission — and in the potential of every student who walks its campus — has shaped nearly every chapter of the College’s story.

Now that the spring semester has wrapped up, a project to replace the library skylight is underway. In addition, the fencing around the Upper Campus Commons building has been taken down so excavation work can begin on the outdoor plaza. Landmark College hosted two successful blood drives this Spring semester as part of an ongoing partnership with the American Red Cross. 62 donors gave blood across two blood drive events on campus in February and April, collecting over 25 liters of blood for the American Red Cross.

Three student members of the Landmark College Equestrian Club traveled to Woodstock, Vt. on Saturday, May 2 to participate in the Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA) May Schooling and Jumper Show. Alumnae Katherine Wagenbach '98 – owner of Ridgeview Stables in Putney – led the trip and provided two horses for students to ride. Student Logan Lipshultz won second place in two jumping events riding Wagenbach's horse Maggie.
