🏃‍♂️💨 FHSAA XC Championships — The End Of An Era ⌛️

Looking back on my time running XC, it feels like a story written through every kind of practice—the ones that broke me open, the ones that stitched me back together, and the ones where the world was quiet enough for me to just breathe, to listen, and to think. Every run pushed me past a boundary I didn’t know existed, revealing strength I hadn’t noticed before, teaching me patience, perseverance, and the strange beauty of pushing through when every part of me wanted to stop. But the real heart of this journey wasn’t just in the miles—it was in the people beside me. My teammates lived out that idea of “iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17), constantly pushing me, steadying me, and shaping me into someone stronger, braver, and more resilient than I ever imagined I could be. Through them, my faith, which had always been quietly present, started to feel more tangible, more personal—something I could see in laughter shared after a brutal run, in the small moments of encouragement on a hard day, in the quiet confidence that comes when you know someone has your back. And when I stumbled, when life felt heavy, I found comfort in Micah 7:8: “Though I fall, I will rise; though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” XC taught me that strength doesn’t always roar, and faith doesn’t always need a spotlight—it grows quietly in the rhythm of footsteps, in the shared grind, and in the people who refuse to let you fall behind. This sport gave me more than memories; it gave me a family, a clearer picture of the God who’s carried me even when I didn’t notice, and a reminder that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). It taught me that the hardest miles often lead to the most growth, that the quietest moments hold the deepest meaning, and that the bonds we build along the way last far longer than any finish line. And honestly, those are the miles I’ll never forget. by @landonliedtke

When you look at the first picture, you see a graduate. You see a cap and gown, a diploma, and a smile.

What you don’t see are the thousands of moments behind it: the road trips across 48 states with my grandparents; the little kid making faces with his mom; the friends who made childhood unforgettable; the years I struggled to find confidence and figure out who I wanted to become; the miles run before sunrise; the late nights spent learning, building, creating, and chasing ideas that started as hobbies and slowly became passions; and the teachers, coaches, mentors, friends, and family members who believed in me every step of the way.

A few weeks ago, I graduated from Florida SouthWestern State College with my Associate of Science in Networking Systems Technology with a 4.0. Yesterday, I graduated from Dunbar High School with a 5.44. Those accomplishments mean a lot to me, but this post isn’t really about the diplomas—it’s about the journey that made them possible.

As I look through these photos, I don’t see a list of achievements. I see memories. I see lessons. I see challenges that seemed impossible at the time. I see people who showed up for me over and over again.

🎓Two graduations. One unforgettable month.🎆

On May 1st, I graduated from Florida SouthWestern State College with my Associate of Science in Networking Systems Technology. On May 30th, I walked the stage at Dunbar High School.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this journey—my family, friends, teachers, coaches, mentors, and everyone else who helped me get to this point. No accomplishment is achieved alone, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the encouragement and opportunities I’ve received along the way.

I’d also like to give a special thank you to my parents, @lee_liedtke & @jen_from_jersey , my grandparents @gladysliedtke @williamliedtke , my sister @kenzie0213 , and my girlfriend @jordyscustompaintings for coming to celebrate these milestones with me. Having you there to share those moments meant more than you know.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for what comes next. 🎓 by @landonliedtke

🥇18:05 and first overall 🥇

MADD 5K — a 15-second PR. Didn’t quite hit sub-18, but still grateful for the strength to run and the opportunity to race for something bigger than myself.
