I’ve dreaded making a post like this for as long as I can remember. This past Thursday, my high school fast pitch season came to an end, and somehow, I’m supposed to put into words what it feels like to say goodbye to something that has been such a huge part of my life.

Softball has given me some of the best memories, hardest lessons, and most importantly, some of the best people I could have ever asked for. When I look back, I won’t remember every score or every inning. I’ll remember the people beside me, the laughs in the dugout, the bus rides, the long weekends, and all the little moments that made this feel like home.

To my teammates, thank you for making these years so special. Thank you for the wins, losses, laughs, and memories. I’m going to miss being your teammate more than I think I’ll realize until I’m no longer standing beside you.

To my coaches, thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and helping me become the player I am today. And to my parents, thank you for every early morning, every long drive, every tournament, every sacrifice, and every time you showed up for me. Thank you for believing in this dream with me and never making me feel like I was chasing it alone. Every accomplishment I have in this game has a little bit of you in it.

And somehow, after all of this, I get to do it one more time. Getting to keep playing the game I love is something I’ll never take for granted. But even though I’m moving on to something I’ve dreamed about for so long, a part of me will always be right here.

Sometimes the best chapters have to end so the next ones can begin.

High school softball, you’ll always have a piece of my heart. Thank you for the memories, the people, and a chapter I’ll never stop being thankful for.

After a lot of prayer and guidance, I am beyond grateful to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Abilene Christian University. This dream has been years in the making, and I’m incredibly excited for the future.

I am extremely appreciative to the Oklahoma Athletics organization, especially coaches Corn, Brian, Ray, and Sheri for their support in helping me achieve my dream. Also, thank you, Coach Emmie, for all the encouragement you have provided to me. I’m forever grateful.

Thank you to Coach Hays and Coach LaValley for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I’m so thankful and can’t wait to represent ACU.

I want to thank everyone who has believed in me and supported me throughout this journey. Your encouragement has meant more than you’ll ever know. A special thank you to my parents for everything you’ve done to help me get to where I am today. I truly couldn’t have accomplished this without your love and unwavering support.
