Nice little 9 hole jaunt to Horam Park GC. All going surprisingly well until I spotted the bird of prey beside the watery 7th green. I paused for a photo and to share the potential peril. Avoid leaving it short. So, I left it short, then right, then left, then short again and mercifully scared the bird away with an up and down for an '11'. #golf #landrover by @landyleaks

Only Landy on arrival. Circumnavigated the site to find an ideal spot. On our return, to where we started we had to apply Land Rover Parking Rules. While we met the German owners of this 'hard to miss' yellow 130, another dark green 130 rolls in.

All under blue skies and sunshine. The channel, a gorgeous swathe of denim blue and the white cliffs of France dazzling in the distance.

It wasn't exactly a "Stay on the road, keep clear of the moors." moment but the advice was 'to avoid the verges'.

I wanted a photo of the #isleofsouthuist Clay Pigeon Club. I pulled over, applied the handbrake and briefly all was good. I considered driving out. I ruled that out. There also happened to be a boulder across the road and I did have a rather beefy winch but thoughts of shifting said boulder into the road bothered me.

We'd earlier fished from the causeway and almost caught a young seal. 😬 Now fiercely risk averse, I decided to pay the piper, or in this case Seamus, who kindly recovered us backwards.

At dinner, at the inn, an excited waiter rushed out with his tablet to get a selfie with us. We'd made the Uist news. 😳 Wonderful place, can't wait to head back.

'Dorothy" was tempted but this was 'pre-snorkel' and I'd have probably arsed it up. So we just watched for a while.
