Installation of fire safety equipment doesn’t only keep your premises protected from the outbreak/spread of fire, it can also help you meet the requirements of insurance providers and lower your insurance costs, it is essential that you understand the fire equipment your property should have to stay safe and insured.
Check with your insurance provider as each providers requests may differ. by @lanefire_extinguishers

Are Fire Extinguishers a legal requirement?? That “burning” question….

Although British Standards are not a legal requirement, it is in fact ‘The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005’ legislation that describes the necessary provision of fire protection within a work place.

The Fire Safety Order charges the responsible person(s) with having effective control over the fire safety provisions within their workplace.

To do this the responsible person is obligated by law to carry out a fire risk assessment which will detail the necessary provisions of fire protection. Fire Extinguishers are an important part of the fire protection provisions.

The recommendations from BS5306 for fire extinguishers are intended to assist the responsible person(s) for the safety of the building in planning to control the consequences of possible fires.

It is then the duty of the responsible person to ensure that extinguishers are maintained regularly by a competent person, in this case, an annual service should take place. This will ensure that the extinguishers are in an efficient state and good working order. by @lanefire_extinguishers

Peaky Blinders fan? You’ll like this one!

Interesting job recently. This was part of a new clients premises that required Fire Extinguisher coverage. The official cars from Peaky Blinders stored onsite. The owners insisted I have a picture in Tommys car 🤣 The owners were so friendly and lovely people. It’s an absolute pleasure to have them as a customer.

Installation of Fire Extinguishers for a new Brazilian Steak restaurant opening in Bristol this month. 🇧🇷

@domus.churrascaria really is looking beautiful! Unfortunately I didn’t take any internal photos as the renovation is still underway but I can definitely see how nice this will be!

Had a nice chat with the owners and reminisced about the time I visited Brazil which was nice! I am looking forward to trying this restaurant out, the menu looks incredible and they will of course be serving Caipirinha cocktails 😃 Go check them out! by @lanefire_extinguishers

Had the pleasure of installing Fire Extinguishers @triggolsfarm 😃 A lovely farm ran by absolutely lovely people.

One of the areas needing coverage was the Pumpkin Barns which will be open to the public this Saturday 10th October! 🎃There will also be a coffee cart onsite, @thehaybalekitchen ☕️

COMING SOON! 🧯💦🔥
Here’s some video footage and photos I took from last week when I assisted another Fire Protection company with Fire Extinguisher Annual Servicing and the practical element of a Fire Warden Course for one of their clients.

We’re currently working towards offering our own Fire Warden Course, so keep an eye out for updates. If you’d like to register your interest, feel free to contact us via social media, email, or a quick phone call.

We’ll be delivering two types of training:

1. In‑House Training - this will be carried out at your business premises for maximum convenience.
2. Mixed Group / Open Public Courses - this is ideal for smaller teams or individuals and will be held at an external venue and a great opportunity to connect with other local businesses.

We’ll also be offering Practical Only Sessions for those who have completed a theory only course and still need hands on fire extinguisher experience.
