Alright, so I positioned #FreddieLane 💙 and the phone with a timer before I had to then run my fun-sized self to hop up (what felt like a mile high 😂) into position before the photo snapped. So my natural hair and my toes weren’t pretty. I fixed those with some AI hair and water shoes. But baaaaby, everything else you see here was 💯 INCLUDING THAT MAN’s HAND cupping my … 🤭. I did not even see that until today.

This was taken on my 51st birthday in Charleston. That man always loved my ol’ arse… scars, dings, chub and all.

Don’t mind me. I’m just skipping down memory Lane because our Jesus year anniversary would be coming up on Juneteenth. Would be. That’s the first time I allowed myself to articulate the finality of that chapter. Must be because this very love positioned me to now be in a real page turner of a second chapter. #LoveIs by @lanelens

Too much of social media can feel performative, so I want to be as transparent as possible.

This photo may reflect how I can look when I choose to show up that way, but it hasn’t reflected how I’ve truly felt (or appeared) for a long time.

In many ways, I began grieving before I ever understood what I was losing. Even after becoming a widow, denial held on longer than I expected. My journey since then has been filled with mistakes, heartbreak, betrayals, cruelty, hard lessons, and collateral damage. But through Grace, healing found me anyway.

And eventually… so did new love.

But what I really want to share is this:

I see so much talk on social media about “Discernment,” but lately I’ve been helped to realize that what I was truly praying for was Alignment.

God’s plan was never missing.
I just needed to realign myself with it.

Sometimes we overcomplicate spirituality with lofty language when God is simply asking us to be still, listen, and walk in alignment with what He has already ordained.

A very special man, in the most God-centered way, helped me understand this truth:
Stop searching so hard for signs when God is already present.
Stop forcing discernment through human understanding.
Instead, embody Godliness.
Invite Alignment.

Because when your alignment is off, the ride gets rough.
But when you are aligned with God’s purpose, everything begins to recalibrate.

And that is exactly where I am.

I found Alignment… or maybe Alignment found me in the most unexpected way.

My spirit is settling.
My nervous system is resetting.
My life is recalibrating.

So this is my message:
Stop squinting through human vision for discernment.
Let go.
Let God.
And allow Alignment to do what striving never could. by @lanelens

It might seem that I like to eat (I do) and that I’m sometimes a little full of it (I am 😂), but I mostly eat the right stuff and I’m healthy. I had begun prioritizing the wrong personal goals while being a fairly thinly stretched foster parent these past couple of years, though. Operation fitness is back on. I can sell you a wellness plan, but I’ve resumed being a living and breathing wellness example as well. Let’s get it! by @lanelens
