And suddenly it’s been a year since you passed and the way I miss you has not dulled. I think of you everyday. Though I wish we had more time, I would not trade 25 years with you for more time with someone else as my mom. I hope that you are all around. I hope you hear when my students at work ask about you when your name is written in a book, or on a toy, or if you’re coming on our field trip. I hope you’re listening every time I hear prince on the radio or in the grocery store and I hope you know just how loved and missed you are. Happy Mother’s Day mama. by @laneykayee

My mama, my best friend and the woman who gave me my name I am at a loss for words. You were taken from this world too soon and I don’t know why, in the 25 years I’ve been alive there never went a day that passed that I didn’t feel loved by you. My biggest regret in life is not forcing you to take more pictures. You always wanted to be the one to capture moments for others and it was one of many things that made you the selfless woman that you were. I will cherish every memory, every moment and try to live as the woman you raised me to be. I love you so much mama, happy Mother’s Day. by @laneykayee
