A worker bee working her way through the Pink Lady blossoms. 🐝🌸

The song, just seems to fit. I Love watching the bees do their thing, even on these cooler days they still go out and forage.

Young pears coming along nicely 🍐

And a couple of next-gen bird poo spiders making an appearance. They’re tiny, even compared to my thumbnail!

Always something happening in the orchard.

This World Apple Day, we’re celebrating the trees, the tiny visitors that help them along, and the apples still to come. 🍎

Every great cider starts with an apple.

"Tasting thru the ages" review

We tried a cider from the 2022, 2025 & 2026 batches of The Cape from @langlangciderco.

Fun experiment with friends @brewjaynz & @bhimlach 🍻

We were quite fascinated by the differences. Same apples from same orchard, same makers, same process. AND YET there was marked change in colour (not soo obvious in photos), smell, aftertaste, flavour!

The only difference was the alcohol percentage - 2026 is 6%, others approx 4%.

Overall we enjoyed the newly canned 2026 The Cape for it's appley & buttery notes that lingered. Yum. 7-7.5

The pears are coming

Does it mean a Perry might be on the cards?

Only Time will tell. And lots of patience. Lots. 🌸

When you forget you’re being filmed… 😂

Trav was at IGA Lang Lang today doing a little tasting of two of our ciders that are currently in stock.

No script, no rehearsing, just Trav talking cider exactly as he normally would. 🍎🍻

If you’re in Lang Lang and want to give them a try, you know where to find us! - but You will have to search the cider fridges, it’s in amongst it. 😜

Thanks to everyone that came down this arvie and gave it a try! 🙏

Just over a year ago we had a pre application meeting with council to discuss our plans to build our shed.

We considered doing a slow motion video, on the progress, the site cut, the build with more than 365 days behind us.

We wanted you to see how far we have progressed.

This will have to do for now… the before and after.

Yep - You just have to Imagine it.

Cause that’s what we are doing…..

Maybe it’s a 2027 thing?

Tropic Sweet, first to blossom in our orchard. 🌸🍎

Our little tree is putting on its first blossoms, but it’s still too young to carry a crop.

For now, we want all that energy going into growing strong rather than supporting and developing apples. So the fruit will have to wait for another season.

But we’ll leave the blossoms for now and let the pollinators enjoy them. 🐝🌸

A little blossom today, hopefully plenty of apples in the years ahead.
