Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, born May 25th 1878. An inspiration, a leader, a trailblazer, an activist, and a cornerstone in this art form. Happy birthday Bill Robinson and happy Tap dance day! With gratitude, LOR 💞

Happy International Jazz Day! 🎶
I thought today would be perfect to share a few clips from the works in process showing during our LOR Exchange Sessions project at the beginning of the season ❤️
We were so fortunate to have a group of ten interested, passionate, energetic musicians from @uofmjazz along with mentor @karlkohut to collaborate with the interested, passionate, and energetic dancers of LOR!

Opportunities like this are so important and meaningful so thank you to @mbartscouncil for funding this creative project! by @languageofrhythm

This Black History Month and always, we commit to deepening our knowledge of Tap dance and Jazz music and the Black innovators past and present who are a constant inspiration. We are grateful for the generosity of those who came before us and passed on their legacies as well as the artists who lead the way today. Happy Black history month! by @languageofrhythm
