Tittle || Alkebulan, Her Divine Femininity.

In this painting, Africa is embodied as a maternal figure, her arms outstretched, releasing diamonds into the air – a poignant reminder of the continent’s rich resources. Yet, her eyes tell a story of anguish, a lament for the lives lost, and the injustices endured. This painting is a heartfelt cry, a grieving process for the bloodshed, and the struggles of the people of Congo, Sudan, and beyond. With every brushstroke, I remembered the resilience and suffering of the children of the soil, who toil in the land that feeds the world, yet remains impoverished. ‘Alkebulan’ is a tribute to Africa’s strength, beauty, and the unyielding spirit of its people.

• FOOD FOR THE SOUL.

Mayine is a devine song that whispers poetic words and sounds to the heart, a safe kind of high and a healing song. It gives wings to the mind and flight to the imagination.

One of the greatest masterpieces on GOD’s beautiful green earth (you can argue with your grandmother.) Simphiwe Dana is a soulful musician with a loud voice for many quiet hearts. Adored for her impressive vocal prowess. She is an artist who employs a true cultural and african identity in her art form.

I love the idea of using film languages to create and capture emotions felt when music hits. @im.hotep was the perfect human being to help me bring this vision to life. So we met back in October and i shared a few ideas with him, i had a few songs in mind which i sent him and decided Mayine would be a great way for us to start our artistic relationship, also Mayine is my daily bread.

So we have been communicating since then, 4/5 months later we captured this beautiful piece, my favorite song won the hearts of many while working on this piece. Hoping to win yours too.

Sooo, i made rings. How cool is this???😍😍😍

My latest creations have been bringing me so much joy, I’m enjoying experimenting all thesw crazy ideas that keep me company every day.
However, i am tired and i need a break.

One of the very first wearable masks that i created. I have been having the deep desire to make another one lately.

I’ve been healing some parts of my inner child and she feels so seen.

This was grade 11. sbindi was born around this time.

An ancestral vessel.

Clover’s Portal of expression, it belongs to the King now. 🤍

If my work speaks back to me one day, I wouldn’t be suprised. Infact i wish to see that day.

Azania will never be free because this wasn’t our 1st president.

So i got to paint human bodies for stage and design the set for What happened to the people of Bantu, a perfomance that took place @jomba_dance written, choreographed & directed by my good friend @imhotep

It’s an honor to do what i love, what happened to the people of Bantu is such a special and spiritual experience. This year was better than the last, may we be even stronger next year. 🤍

So the other day I couldn’t get umthandazo wase Afrika (pt2) out of my head. While preparing clay & listening to music, i kept seeing the album cover ya Zandisile in my head. The music led me here, i did nothing but listen to the music as the clay held me and let me breathe life into it.
Since joining @unlearntolearn_kzn , i’ve had to unlearn the notion of wanting to create big scale works for the wows of the people and learned to create works that i enjoy making. Specifically small scale works that were not controlled by anything but just how i feel, not planning the work and letting the work come to me. My mentor has been guiding me through my creations, i no longer feel alone.

UKUWA NOKUVUKA: The Beauty of Falling.

This body of work is about what it means to return to yourself. To go all the way down underneath the waters, drowning but breathing, falling and still be standing.

Ukuwa nokuvuka to fall and to rise. life does not move in a straight line. It moves like water. Sometimes you are above, sometimes you are below. Sometimes the void opens right above your head and looks straight at you. You breathe anyway.

The beauty is not in avoiding the deep. The beauty is in keeping your beauty inside it.

And you are not alone in that falling.
We fall, we rise. We are guided. We are held, even when we feel most underwater.

This is not about drowning. This is about remembering who are.

This was very interesting,about 30+cows passed me here running the same pace. All with omelusi abahlukene. Maybe ziziya e diphini? Idk. But this was fun.
