oh what a privilege it is to serve such a gracious God!

the past three months have been full of ups & downs so i wasn’t really anticipating going to camp this year but i remembered i serve an omniscient & almighty God who works wonders! it was amazing to see how God worked through our speaker, Johnny Pope, to put these things on my heart!

keeping ourselves pure!
- if you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail! PLANNING to keep yourself pure will allow you to understand the beauty of God’s will. oftentimes i think we underestimate how hard the devil is willing to work against us and our hearts for the Lord. our spirit is WILLING to stay away from temptation but our flesh will ALWAYS remain weak. removing yourself from tempting situations will also help you obtain from sexual immorality!

there’s no time to be wobbly!
- spiritual warfare is so real! the devil is constantly trying to distract us from following God’s will & he won’t give up either.
strive to serve the Lord wholeheartedly instead of partially. surrendering your all is a lot easier said than done but with a lot of prayer and a heart for the Lord it is VERY achievable!

the intensity of hell!
- i was reminded of how blessed i was to be raised by Christian parents, to have a childhood spent with the best girls who keep me rooted in Christ, and most importantly the chance to be apart of a great church. i then remembered how not everyone gets to experience that! i’ve gotten so comfortable with how familiar Christ is to me that i’ve lost countless opportunities to witness to people in my life. Luke 16 talks about the account of the rich man and Lazarus. the rich man didn’t have his priorities straight UNTIL he went to hell. the severity of his pain was so intense that all he wanted was a drop of water to the tongue. imagine all the people that we pass in public, at school, at work, or at the gym that are destined for that kind of pain. as Christians, we have the opportunity to experience the gift of salvation and an eternal life in Heaven. who are we to take that opportunity away from others by not sharing? let’s be bold for the cause of Christ!
