Saying goodbye to my 20’s feels so bittersweet
As I’m writing this at midnight on my 30th birthday I am feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. A decade went by in a blink, but I can truly say I’ve never felt more fulfilled.

I am endlessly grateful for my friends that feel more like family, family who has loved me through all the ages and stages (purple hair included-sorry Mont) and for all the growing pains and lessons learned. Every rejection was redirection, and more than anything every day on this earth is a gift.

Thank you to my wonderful husband for loving me in a way I never knew possible. You never fail to bring a smile to my face even on my worst days. We met when I was 22 and truly feeling so lost; now you’ve given me direction and a person to call home. No matter where we are, I am content as long as we are together.

The greatest gift of all is getting to spend all 30 years on this earth with my built in best friend. Growing up as a twin meant double of everything; two happy meals, double closets, and learning to share everything including a face. It also meant never having to face life alone. Who could be luckier than me, having someone so hilarious, thoughtful, and kind to grow up with? With a personality like a shot of espresso, I always looked up to my sister like she was a force of nature. My favorite thing about you is you’re not only a fantastic sister to me, but to every girl who needs one. She leaves every conversation with the other person feeling better about themselves, and I can honestly say that every good quality I have I learned from her.

Special shout of to my parents for giving me such a beautiful life- I am so thankful for all your sacrifices and appreciate your love and support as we transitioned into adulthood.

Supporting @ukdanceteam and @butlerudanceteam this weekend was an absolute blast! I’ll always be grateful to dance, it has always been the invisible string that tied us to each other.

I have so many fond memories in my 20’s, and can’t help but smile thinking of all the people I’ve met and places I’ve been. I’m looking forward to what this next decade has to offer. Bring it on! by @lanie.sauder
