I was told to embrace fall. Instructions unclear...

Maybe I’ll turn over a new leaf. There were plenty to choose from.

I’m just trying to leaf you laughing, but at this point, I fear we’re witnessing the fall of humanity. 🍂

Apparently, autumn brings out my corny side. It’s a seasonal condition.

Now make like a tree and get out of here!

(And if you don’t get that last part, well, I’m not sure we can be friends!) taken in Brentwood by @laniers

About last night…. Me at the @byanymeansmovie premiere at the iconic @paramountpics lot.

By Any Means stars @markwahlberg and @yahya and directed by @elegancebratton. Based on a true story about Mafia hitman Gregory Scarpa, who helps the FBI catch the KKK members responsible for the 1966 murder of local NAACP president Vernon Dahmer, played by @thegiancarloesposito.

It had a little @blackkklansman energy for me in the best way: dark, intense, gut-wrenching at times, while still walking that fine line of finding humor in a serious story, which somehow made it a really fun watch. I always say the best movies make you laugh, make you cry and make you think…and this one checked all the boxes. Also @nikkibeharie was great.

My favorite random little moment of the night…

Once we were in our seats waiting for the movie to start, I was chatting with a couple of friends in the aisle when a friend of a friend randomly asked me what my favorite rom-com of all time was. Easy: Sweet Home Alabama.

At the time, I had absolutely NO idea @ethanembry or @joshlucas were even in By Any Means. Spoiler alert…they both are and both are super in it!

I mean, what are the odds that I randomly bring up a 24-year-old movie #sweethomealabama minutes before watching a completely unrelated movie featuring TWO of its stars?

Iirony? the universe being adorable? Either way I loved it.

I also think this may be Mark Wahlberg’s best movie in a while, and he’s fantastic in it. I only have one note, and it lands directly on the nose: I could have done without the fake one hiding @markwahlberg’s pretty face. Yes, Gregory Scarpa, the real-life mobster he plays, had a very distinctive nose, but I think we can take a little creative liberty every now and then. Would’ve been no skin off my nose.

Other than that, I thought it was pretty great. Go see #ByAnyMeans where it should be seen…in theaters.

Got to go to the Coyote vs. Acme premiere and honestly, this one was just FUN.

The whole night had that old-school movie premiere energy that I feel like we don’t get enough anymore. It reminded me of being a kid and how exciting going to the movies used to feel. A packed theater, everyone laughing together, and that feeling that you’re actually having an experience instead of just watching something.

A lot of people fought for a long time to get this movie released, and it was worth the fight. And every once in a while, the good guys actually win.

It’s funny, charming, genuinely entertaining and exactly the kind of movie that deserves to be seen with a crowd.

So go see Coyote vs. Acme in a theater. Bring your friends. Laugh way too loud. And support cool movies like this so we keep getting more of them. 🎬🐺💥 taken in The Westwood Village by @laniers

Im a little late posting since I got back days ago and I do completely feel like a broken record as I continue my inclusion into my post about thinking I took plenty of pictures and realizing I didn’t take enough and I’m missing photo evidence of so many people/places/things that were a part of the trip. Cause I guess at the end of the day that’s what these posts represent. It’s the recorded memories of my adventures. But due to the inherent nature of living in the moment I guess this will always be a struggle. Alas here is the photographic evidence of a very quick trip to @tribecafilmfestival Where I did see some friends (but not nearly all the friends I wanted to see) saw some films (not all the ones I wanted to see either), had some meetings, rode the subway, ate some food, got some @doughnutplant doughnuts and chai tea…not bad for a 3 day trip. Until next time #nyc #filmfestival #actorslife🎬 #writerslife #producerslife by @laniers

Summer party for @mptfnextgen hosted by @therealnoahwyle. Every time I go to an event where I know I’m going to see several friends, I tell myself THIS time I’m going to take photos with everyone. Then I leave with photos of less than half the friends I hung out with...Still, it was a lovely night catching up with old friends, making some new ones, and being reminded how lucky I am to be part of this community. Somehow it’s already June. Summer doesn’t officially start for another three weeks, but I’m calling it early. Here’s to my favorite season and the hope of a wonderful summer!

Im sure I’ve said this before but it always seems like I took a ton of photos and then I get back from a trip and wonder why I don’t have photos of so much of my trip. This is just a small amount of evidence of the two weeks Cannes trip. I am sadly actually missing photos with several of the wonderful people who I call friends who I actually saw while in Cannes and I am also missing lots of photos from events and fun but well anyway here’s to all the memories recorded and not…to both the friends I’ve known forever and the new ones I just made and to the next wonderful moments I see you all again. The 2026 @festivaldecannes is in the books. Onto the next adventure somewhere…till next year. #cannesfilmfestival #cannes2026 #actorlife #writersofinstagram #travelling taken in Cannes Film Festival by @laniers

I don’t think I even know what to say. Life is short. People are imperfect but can still be wonderful in their own way. Life is messy and unpredictable. We aren’t promised tomorrow so you gotta live life like today is it…tell the ones you care about you love them. You never know. I hope you have found peace Nicky. 💔 by @laniers

Last Dance in the Park — SUNDANCE 2026
Long post warning!
I know Sundance ended like… a minute ago. Between personal life stuff, the world feeling heavy, and life moving at full speed, posting took a back seat. Sundance has been stitched into my life for so long that Park City feels like a chapter title. This year hit different. I wasn’t there for the full run, which genuinely made me sad… and honestly, I struggled with what to even say. I don’t know if words and especially one post , can capture what Sundance and Park City have meant to me for so many years… but I’m going to try anyway. I took more photos, but I’m posting just one from this year… and one from a previous year (that wasn’t ever posted on Instagram before). The one from this year is me, my friend Erika who is a local and Kenneth Cole. Kenneth and his iconic jackets another constant through all my Sundance seasons, and someone I’ve done stuff with at Sundance before. It felt weirdly perfect as the photo that sums up this year: familiar, full-circle, and a little bittersweet. The second photo is a previous year but not  my first Sundance (my first one I was ridiculously young — like an actual baby). And I don’t have any of those photos easily on hand at the moment...Those photos exist somewhere on… oh geeez… film. (Shhh. Don’t tell anyone.)I’m rooting for Boulder, and I’m sure it’ll become its own kind of magic… but Park City will always be Sundance to me. And I’ll never forget the early years — the hope, the adrenaline, the “anything could happen” feeling! I’ll miss so many things including the venues I knew so well, Main Street (which will always look like Sundance in my mind), and that familiar feeling every year when I came back, like coming home. I’ll cherish the memories, the people, the friendships, the parties I did (and didn’t) get into, the late-night Mafia games, and the films that shaped who I am. For all of it, I’ll be eternally grateful. Thanks for all the dances… from the first one to the last.
P.S. Huge thanks to one of my oldest friends, Mike Lawyer, and his wife for always making sure that no matter what, I had a place to stay…even if the house was freezing. taken in Park City, Utah by @laniers
