GRAPHIC FASHION this weekend by artists that chose to use clothes as their canvas 🎀 in the art world, there is a moral superiority by the ppl printing on paper, some spaces like Bethanien even forbid printmaking on t-shirts for not being considered art but just commercial. Well babes, there are many reasons to print on clothes by working class artists: exposure, sustainabilty, concept, accessibility, and because we fcking want 🙃 @badass.prints is a queer-feminist, sex-positive slow business founded in Barcelona in 2016. In 2019, the team relocated to Berlin, where they have since built a community rooted in their shared values and a desire to challenge capitalism, pinkwashing, and the heteropatriarchy. Expect a punk, kawaii, and slutty aesthetic, brought to life through screen printing, upcycling, and customization techniques. @badass.prints @badass.prints @branqui4s is a multidisciplinary project that encompasses textiles, graphic design, screen printing, and textile recycling. It rethinks how to create products that are accessible and high-quality, without contributing to the exploitation of other territories or people for commercial gain. It constantly evolves by questioning the raw materials it uses, the production processes involved, and the waste we generate. Its work gives rise to a groundbreaking expression that challenges dominant, normative aesthetics. @branqui4s @branqui4s @branqui4s @criticabichx is a sustainable fashion and textile research project that uses recycling and screen-printing interventions—featuring original photography—as its medium of expression. It seeks to redefine, subvert, and disrupt the superficiality of mainstream fashion norms. The project originated at Exe Estudio—an artist collective in Buenos Aires, Argentina—where the creator sold products and shared workshop spaces. Currently, it is based at Devenir Taller, a multidisciplinary studio in Barcelona’s Sant Andreu neighborhood. All handmade — pants, kilts, and layers as maps of identity. Blended with screenprints of architecture or hand-painted imagery. @mentismiseria is a fashion brand for anyone who wants to feel strong and confident - both inside and out. My designs combine modern cuts, clean silhouettes, heavy materials and an aesthetic that shows attitude. Striking digital prints add striking accents or cover entire outfits to reinforce individuality and self-confidence. @thenanodesign is a small anti fashion brand based in Berlin. A little punk rock, a little dark, a little wild, Nano creates versatile pieces that can be worn from daily life to clubs and festivals. Nano is about embracing contradiction and individuality. It’s for people who move between worlds, moods, and identities without asking permission. Clothing here isn’t about fitting into a category, it’s about expressing who you are, as you are, when you are. As a slow fashion brand, @nur_hektor produces in small quantities and to order, which guarantees a conscious and meticulous creation process. The garments are handmade in the Berlin atelier, using sustainable materials in a unique combination of organic, synthetic and industrial elements, applying pattern-making techniques that create second-skin silhouettes, shapes that evolve through a non-complex, non-traditional and non-gender attitude. They design and make limited edition clothes and accessories, producing with screen printing and upcycling in Berlin. @less.jart is a wearable extension of artist Jiajia Li’s work, where each piece is thoughtfully crafted from one of her paintings — turning art into clothing with soul. @lao.clo Clothing that connects South American folklore with the city.
