I realised I’ve never introduced myself properly

If you’ve ever wondered why I’m called Laoclassics while promoting Cambodia… my name is Lao, but I’m not from Laos 😉

I run @cambodiaoverland.travel , a company I founded in 2019 to share Cambodia’s culture, history, and hidden gems with the world. Behind the scenes, I work with an amazing team of officially licensed tour guides who bring their own expertise and personality, making every tour flexible and personal for our guests.

Ever since 2015 (except 2020-2021), I’ve guided travellers from all over the world — from sunrise at Angkor Wat to remote adventures in the countryside. That experience shaped not only my love for guiding but also my passion for storytelling and promoting Cambodia to a wider audience.

Along the way, I became a Chevening Scholar and earned a Master’s in Tourism Management at Bournemouth University in the UK during the pandemic.

Everything you see on this page — from reels to travel tips — comes purely from my own passion. I’ve never been sponsored or paid to promote Cambodia. I share this content because I truly believe my country deserves to be seen, understood, and loved by the world.

Now, through running a tour company, guiding, and content creation, I’m on a mission to show you Cambodia beyond the postcards. Here you’ll find history, local life, nature, and adventures — everything that makes this country unforgettable.

My proud moment on stage presenting Cambodian travel in Paris at the Sabay Festival – the biggest Khmer New Year festival in Europe, held in France every year.

It was a great privilege to be invited to go on stage and introduce a bit of Cambodia. Thank you @sabaydara and the Khmer-French community for having me. I was so happy to feel everyone’s energy and love for Cambodia.
