We are one week from the end of spooky season at La Petite Maison, which means time is running out to get these very special, very bespoke Halloween treasures! Christmas begins in one week! -Chalet closes at 3pm on September 24 -both shops closed on September 26 -Christmas reveal September 27 Spooky skulls made by hand in our store using antique French papers. Hand glittered and tied with ribbons (some of them even hand dyed in store). Our new stitchers learned the basics of needlepoint while enjoying French vanilla milk and freshly baked cookies! Fall Festival and Brocante this Saturday from 11-3!! This will be our last brocante of the season. It is not cold enough to have my fireplace on, but I turned it on anyway. Because fall. This was the mantle I did last year and I loved it so much I did the exact same thing again this year. I’m going to add some fresh pumpkins (available at the shop) and some of our bespoke Halloween items next week to finish it off. We brought the garlands back to the shop this year because they were so loved last year, so you, too, can have this same look! Shop them in our link in our profile or comment FALL and we will link you to our entire fall and Halloween collection! Repeat after me: new does not mean better!! Things this applies to includes your house, your face, your clothing, your car and everything else we’ve been taught to believe needs to be new. Lived in, broken in, loved, repaired…COLLECTED. I love antiques for this very reason. They hold their own history and patina (just like me). by @lapetitemaison.ut

More than six years ago, we started La Petite Maison with 550 square feet of retail space, a container of antiques and a big dream. We had no idea what we were doing, and no one to give us advice. And let’s not forget…COVID. Fast forward six years to now. We have two retail spaces, a warehouse, a lavender field, a flower farm and a (possibly one time only) French pumpkin patch plus even more dreams for the future. We have the best team. We have a “family” of dealers and friends in France. We have an amazing mentor who guides us and gives us the tough love we need. And (this is the part where I get weepy) we have YOU. We aren’t going anywhere. If you haven’t met us, it’s time. If you haven’t visited in a while, it’s time. If you were here yesterday, we already miss you, so come back. If my initial slide made you nervous because you thought we were going somewhere, let that be a reminder that in this great big world of hard, we need each other.
