The award nominations just keep coming!! We are over the moon to have been nominated for the RTS Northwest Award for Best Drama for not one, but two of our programs! That’s right, both Unforgivable and Special Measures have been nominated.

But that’s not all, Bobby Schofield, Anna Friel and Sue Johnson have nominations for Best Performance in both Unforgivable and Big Winners. Austin Haynes is also nominated for The Caroline Aherne Award for Best Breakthrough Talent in Unforgivable.

But wait! There’s even more… Jimmy McGovern, Lee Thompson and Martha Watson Allpress have all been nominated for Best Script Writer for Unforgivable, Special Measures and Big Winners.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in all projects, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Was amazing to have the lovely @michelledcollins at the Evening with Ricky Tomlinson and very talented @asa.murphy.18. Pure generosity from all. Michelle is a huge supporter of Chickenshed for many years and we were so grateful for her support.
Thanks again to @asa.murphy.18 for bringing your team down from liverpool and donating all the teams earnings and tickets sales to the amazing @chickenshed_uk

Also @laproductionsuk for filming this and parts will be included in our TV show! by @laproductionsuk

What an amazing night! ❤️

For this very special night, In Ricky’s Own Words, Asa and Ricky travelled all the way from Liverpool to North London to perform at Chickenshed.

What made it even more special was that all ticket sales were donated back to Chickenshed, raising over £4,500 for the company. Even their driver, Dave, donated his wage too. So generous. 🫶🏼

A huge thank you to Asa for organising the travel down and to both Asa and Ricky for making the journey, especially the day before Asa went on holiday.

I can’t tell you how grateful we all are. Such a special night for a very special company. ❤️

Thank you to the wonderful Susan Jamson @jonnymortan and everyone who helped make this happen.

The amazing crew, who are a joy to work with!

We at LA Productions are delighted that Bobby Schofield has been nominated Best Performance by an Actor at the 2026 International Emmy® Awards for Unforgivable.

Unforgivable follows the Mitchell family as they deal with the devastating aftermath of an act of abuse committed by a member of their own family and is available on BBC iPlayer.

The nominees will come together in New York for the International Emmy® World Television Festival from 20 to 22 November, ahead of the 54th International Emmy® Awards Gala on Monday 23 November, when the winners will be announced.

Our founder Colin has said “Seeing Bobby recognised like this is a huge moment for all of us. Joe is one of the most demanding roles an actor could take on. Bobby gave him real depth and humanity, but he never let the audience lose sight of what Joe had done, and that is a very hard balance to strike.

“Unforgivable is a Liverpool story through and through. It was set and filmed here, by a cast and crew who gave it everything, and now Bobby's performance is being recognised alongside the best television from 22 countries. We couldn't be prouder."

Bobby Schofield has said “Playing Joe in Unforgivable was one of the most challenging roles I’ve taken on. I felt a responsibility to portray him truthfully without ever losing sight of the harm he caused and the people living with its consequences. I’m overwhelmed to receive an International Emmy nomination for this work.

“Thank you to Jimmy McGovern and Colin McKeown for trusting me with Joe, to Julia Ford for her guidance, and to Anna Maxwell Martin and Anna Friel for the care they brought to telling this story. Thank you to my dear friend of many years Shaun Fagan from The Dock Studio for convincing me to take on the role, and to Amy Hubbard for believing in me all those years ago.

“And thank you to my amazing fiancé for understanding how withdrawn and unlike myself I was while working on this job, and for supporting me afterwards, when the storm had passed and I finally had time to reflect. I’m grateful to everyone who helped us tell this difficult story with the care it deserved.”
