Pray when you’re hurting.
Pray when you’re healing.
Pray when you have nothing.
Pray when you have everything.
Pray when life is going good.
Pray when life feels like it’s falling apart.

And most importantly, don’t forget to pray when God brings you out of the very situation you prayed to get through.

Don’t just pray when you need something from God. Pray because you are grateful for everything He has already done.

As I go through menopause, I’ve noticed the weight doesn’t come off like it used to. I have to work a little harder, stay consistent, and most importantly, be intentional. But I do feel and see the progress. I’ve dropped some pounds, my body is changing, and I’m feeling better. It may take a little more work at this stage of my life, but I’m not giving up.

Consistency matters. I have to be intentional about ME.

And forgive me, but I’m mourning Freddie Jackson. I grew up listening to his music, and his songs bring back so many beautiful memories. So I’m going to keep singing, dancing, exercising, and enjoying his music today. We don’t know the day or the hour, so KEEP LIVING. Make memories. Dance. Laugh. Love. Take care of yourself and enjoy the life God gave you. I DO NOT OWN THE COPYRIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC!

Okay, Freddie had us IN LOVE back in the day! 😂 I’m talking about that young, crazy, toxic kind of love where y’all done argued, fought, gave each other a black eye, and somehow made up the SAME night listening to a Freddie Jackson song. Lord, we didn’t know no better! 😂

But that music? Timeless. Freddie Jackson was the soundtrack to a whole generation of love, heartbreak, making up, and starting all over again. Childhood memories for real. I was knocking a b&tch upside the head about mines! 😂🤣😂🤣 Thank Gid for GRACE! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤲🏾 GOOD OLE DAYZ!!!

Diabetic. Cancer survivor. Kidney disease. Hair loss. 56 years old and still grateful for it ALL.

I lost my mom to cancer two years ago, and this month makes 14 years since I lost my brother, Robert LaBranche, aka Bizzle, to gun violence.

Life has taken me through some things I never imagined I would have to endure. Grief, sickness, loss, healing, and starting over. But through it all, I’m still here.

Still healing. Still growing. Still finding my purpose. Still choosing to LIVE.

At 56, I don’t take life for granted. Every day I wake up is another opportunity to live, love, heal, and thank God for carrying me through it all.

This is my story, and I am grateful for every chapter.
