Pediatric dental terminology🦷🪥
I’ve been lucky to be a dental assistant in pediatrics since starting in the field of dentistry and have learned many new words for the tools that are used for various procedures in pediatric dental clinics! I also wrote my dental school application personal essay on all of the pediatric terminology! 😆 from top to bottom by row we have:
1. Mr. Thirsty = slow suction
2. Blue Shampoo = etch
3. Tooth chair = mouth prop
4. Play dough = Composite
5. Drops = syringe with lido or epi
6. Tooth paint = sealant
7. Vitamins = fluoride
8. Wind = air/water syringe
9. Tooth counter = explorer
10. Not pictured but cavities are called sugar bugs! 🐛
