A month in Sri Lanka, and a route I’d do all over again ⭐️

We started in Colombo before heading inland to Sigiriya, spending a few days around Kandy and Ella, then continuing to Udawalawe for a little wildlife and finally making our way down to the south coast for the slower part of the trip.

Colombo → Sigiriya → Kandy → Ella → Udawalawe → Hiriketiya → Hikkaduwa

What I loved most was how much the landscape changed as we travelled — ancient temples and jungle one day, mountains and tea country the next, then finishing with long afternoons by the ocean.

A trip that somehow managed to feel adventurous, slow, beautiful and completely different at every stop.
