Massage Workshop with Lara

Date: Thursday, 9th of April
Time: 10:00 - 16:00 PM
Price: 12,000 LKR (pre-registration)

*A minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to take place

Join us for a practical, hands-on workshop to explore this ancient yet incredibly relevant healing technique. Explore the foundations of massage, learning how to release tension, soothe muscular and postural aches, create harmony for body and mind, detoxify the system, boost immunity and revitalise overall health.

We’ll practise deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger-point therapy and assisted stretching, whilst using natural oils and supportive breathing techniques.

This workshop is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone to develop massage skills and gain a deeper understanding of how this integrated, ancient, natural and global form of medicine can radically support our health in the modern world.

We’ll discuss the relevance and benefits of professional physical touch and caring connection in our times of hyper-stimulation, unnatural physical demands and isolation. We’ll spend a lot of time giving and receiving massage in pairs, as well as discussing and learning theory together.

This workshop is led by Lara Swan, who has trained in both Ayurvedic and Western massage techniques, and has been working in this field for 12 years. Lara originally trained and worked as a massage therapist in London, England, and for the last 7 years has been based in Sri Lanka. She is als a yoga teacher, nutrition coach, life coach and brings all these things together as an integrated holistic health coach.

Massage equipment provided. Please bring 2 towels or sarongs, a notebook and water bottle.

30 mins break for lunch, feel free to bring your own or visit the cafe located on the fruitfarm.

Book your spot by visiting www.sensessrilanka.com

Not every moment here is about chasing waves.

Some are about slowing down, tuning in, and letting your body catch up. That's where the real reset happens.
