I’m sorry you feel that way, but also I’m not.

Last day of our trip, and we finished off in Seattle, going to the GasWorks Parks, catching knights fighting in the park, and exploring the Fremont Sunday Street Market, seeing the yellow bug within a yellow bug.
Of course, we had to visit the Space Needle, and I was shaking a bit with a glass floor looking down over 500 feet. I did take a stunning picture of Mt. Rainer, in all its colossal height.
Finally we had to say goodbye to the PNW, but @em.large won best photo as she took off to head back home.
I’m happy for the memories, the many photos I took, and the cute little Sasquatch that I got as my souvenir for my trip to Seattle, Vancouver, and the PNW. by @large_dj

After running a half marathon, @em.large still explored Vancouver, visiting the Granville Public Market and taking a 1 hour, 6 mile bike ride around Stanley Park.
Vancouver is just a beautiful place, one that I want to explore more of, but we had to say goodbye to Canada, and head back to the states. by @large_dj

Vancouver is just gorgeous.
Everywhere you look is a beautiful view of the mountains, the trees, the harbor, and everything else.
We explored Vancouver a bit, seeing the Gastown Clock, and getting to see it steam its chimes on the hour.
We explored downtown Vancouver, helping @em.large get her racing gear for her Half Marathon, and then we got a seaplane for a view of Vancouver.
The next day was race day for Emily, who finished the race in 2.5 hours!!! Emily’s race was the reason for the trip, so I’m happy it was a highlight of the trip. by @large_dj

After exploring Washington State, it was time to head up north to Canada.
We stopped by Jimmy Hendrix’s grave, and took the scenic route to see Washington’s coastline.
In the second point, those line in the sand are oyster farms, and are sitting in only 4-6 feet of water.
Once we got into Canada, we went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The bridge is stable and will not collapse, but does move as you walk.
However, the views are INCREDIBLE!!! Seeing all the trees, river rocks, and all the Canadian forestry beauty, it was just amazing. by @large_dj

After a day in Seattle, we drove over to Port Angeles and explored the Olympic National Park. We hiked through a 3,000 year old primordial forest, young for its age.
After a lovely hike, we went to Port Angeles, where I had a crab melt, saw starfish, and had a Ukrainian ice cream that tasted exactly like Hi-Chew.
I love nature, love hiking, love seeing the forest, the rivers, falls, and the creatures within. I am so comfortable and at pace when I’m outside among nature. by @large_dj

I’m finally getting around to posting about my trip to Seattle, Vancouver, and the PNW.
The flight there was cool, seeing the Shenandoah Valley, and as arriving into SeaTac, seeing Mt. Rainer, Mt. Hood, and Mt. St. Helens in one incredible shot.
We explored Pike Public Market, saw the disgusting Gum Wall 🤢🤮, and explored Seattle’s waterfront. I got to see the original Starbucks store, tired Salt and Straw, and enjoyed those cool spin top seats, to my failure and everyone else’s laughter.
I also got to see Pioneer Square, see the totem pole, explore underground Seattle and their skylights, and ended my day with a Seattle dog, which is a hotdog with cream cheese and caramelized onions. by @large_dj

I’ve been late posting about what I’ve been up to.
DC PRIDE was so amazing, as I’ve come to expect it. This was my FOURTH DC PRIDE, and it’s the first one I got to walk in.
Special thanks to @robertwhite_dc!!!
It was so fun to walk in the parade, get to see it from another side, and not be in the sun for hours.
My PRIDE was still packed though, as I got to see the lovely @carmen_carrera at @iconustreet , got to reconnect with the incredible @theanniemaedrag, and got to see @itscrystaledge when she came back to DC for PRIDE.
I got to see the best episode of Tea Time at @sparkstudiodc with @trevher.drag @thetiaramissou with special guest @itscrystaledge and colorful commentary from @theenataliecole.
DC PRIDE is one of my favorite events in DC. I’m so happy I live in the gayest city in America, where my queerness is celebrated and never hidden. by @large_dj

I know it’s been over a month, but I still had to make a post about my time campaigning for @robertwhite_dc.
It felt like fate that after a few years living in DC, the most competitive DC primary season in decades would happen.
I had so many candidates I supported, but there was one I wanted to help get elected. I moved to DC to work in politics, and being able to work on a congressional campaign for my home district was an opportunity I enthusiastically took.
Thankfully I’d already done a bit of campaigning, so I hit the doors fast.
I’d estimate I knocked over 2,000 doors, called 1,000 people on phone banks, greeted dozens of people going to the polls. I even stood out in the rain TWICE!!!
And I’d do it all over again.
I’m thrilled my candidate, @robertwhite_dc, won the primary to be DC’s next Delegate to Congress. I’m happy he won with 63%!!! on the first round. I’m glad I played a role in this campaign.
I met some lovely people campaigning, and I hope to everyone I met, we keep in touch.

Election is still not done, y’all come back in November and make it official!!! by @large_dj

As quickly as it arrived, so must it end.
I ended my time with @repilhan as their Spring Intern.
I’ve always talked about 2025, but it did end on a good note. I got to work to with one of my favorite members. This was a dream of a lifetime and it was also one of the best times of my life.
I reintroduced myself on the Hill, expanded my network, learned more skills, and made new friends.
I am so grateful that Team Ilhan are some of the nicest, kindest people ever. Everyday was incredible, even during the ICE surges, and daily troll calls, I never lost the awe that I got to work on the Hill again, and to work for a member like @ilhanmn.

It’s back on the job hunt, but this was an incredible thing to experience.
Shoutout to Alex, Rabihahh, Bemnet, Connor, and Tahreem!!!
I love y’all and hope to be back soon❤️ by @large_dj

Special thanks to @dchomos for letting me know about a burlesque version of Mamma Mia.
I immediately had to go see this, and I’m so glad I do.
I love ABBA, love Mamma Mia, love burlesque, and love being gay 💅🏻
It was incredible!!! It was so fucking gay, so funny, and just a blast to do. It was great to see @trinitythetuck and Kylie Sonique Love!!!
I also got to it with @connor.czora and @zhatgimi, who I unexpectedly joined for the evening.
I loved it, will probably try to see more shows like this.
It was just so much FUN!!! taken in Lisner Auditorium George Washington by @large_dj

Snowcrete, that’s what they called it.

This was my second DC snow that I survived, and I barely did so.
It was fun to go out with my roommates when it started to fall.
Later, my brother and I explored the frozen wonderland normally called the National Mall.
I got to experience climbing up a 15ft mountain of frozen ice blocks, skidded ice across a frozen fountain, and finally went sledding!!!

I’m so happy the snowcrete is gone, but I do make some nice memories. by @large_dj

2025
I’m going to be honest and vulnerable here and say this was easily the worst year of my life. I was unemployed the entire year, saw people’s livelihoods torn up, and my beautiful city invaded. I went to very dark places, felt so inadequate, and cried so many times over how much of a failure I felt.
We also lost a dear @itscrystaledge, a curator of DC drag and someone I credit with helping me build a social life.
Yet, during all this, I never experienced so many wonderful things. Few days into 2025, I enjoyed a snow day, and the rest of my year filled with meeting so many people and making so many new friends.
World PRIDE was an experience I treasure, seeing so many celebrities, like DOECHII?!? To see such happiness and queerness in a year of such sadness and darkness, it was revitalizing in a way.
I also got back in touch with myself, exploring nature on my daily walks, talking pictures of the flowers, the creatures, and the things around me.
2025 was in a way a year of change. I grew a lot this year, gained friendship I honestly never thought I’d have, and had so much fun in a year where I never felt worst.
2025 is now over, and I can’t say I’d wanna relive it. I’m excited to start my new job, going back on the Hill, and to grow my friendship and social life now that I’ll have money.

I welcome 2026, all the relief it’s given me so far, and hope the connections I made in 2025 carry on.

To everyone in 2025 - Thank you!!! You have no idea how far your kindness went.
