At the Oslo airport, I happened to see a short video about the history of Norway. It was deeply touching.

There are brief moments while traveling that unexpectedly touch your heart and stay with you forever.

In the busy, bustling atmosphere of the Oslo airport, where hundreds of people were rushing to their flights, that short video felt like a true island of warmth. Norway’s history wasn’t presented as dry dates from a textbook, but as an incredibly moving, living, and heartfelt story.

Every frame radiated cozy warmth, a genuine love for the homeland, and a deep respect for rugged northern nature and human effort. It was a sincere declaration of love for one’s country—simple, poetic, and profound. It made me pause for a moment, forget about time, and feel the true soul of Norway before even stepping out of the airport.

This place is called the Henningsvær Football Stadium (Norwegian: Henningsvær Stadion).

It is located in the fishing village of Henningsvær on the southern tip of the small, rocky islet of Hellsøya.

The artificial turf field is entirely surrounded by open sea, rocky shores, and traditional wooden racks for drying cod.
The stadium is mainly used by the local amateur club Henningsvær IL and neighborhood children, and it has become a world-famous landmark for drone photography.
There are no traditional stands surrounding the field; instead, a narrow strip of asphalt runs along its perimeter.

Reine, Lofoten, Norway 🇳🇴

This place is called Reine, a picturesque fishing village on the island of Moskenesøya. It is widely considered the postcard face of the Lofoten Islands and one of the most beautiful villages in Norway.

➡️ Situated above the Arctic Circle in the southern part of the archipelago, along the E10 highway. Home to a population of only around 300 residents.
➡️ Famous for its bright red and yellow wooden fishermen’s cabins built on stilts (rorbuer), many of which have been restored as cozy guest lodges for travelers.
➡️ Reine has been an important commercial center for Arctic cod fishing since 1743. Traditional wooden drying racks (hjell) line the shoreline.
➡️ The village sits directly below the iconic Reinebringen mountain, which provides the legendary panoramic view over the entire fjord.
➡️ A popular starting point for kayaking along the Reinefjord, sea fishing excursions, whale watching, and taking local ferries to secluded beaches (such as Bunes Beach).

Lofoten, Reinebringen, Norwey 🇳🇴

Reinebringen is one of the most famous and visited mountain peaks in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. The main reason for its popularity is the iconic panoramic view of the fishing village of Reine, Arctic fjords, and surrounding sharp peaks.

* Viewpoint elevation: 448–450 meters above sea level.
* Sherpa Stone Stairs: Due to soil erosion and the hazards of the old trail, Nepalese Sherpas built a stone staircase consisting of nearly 1,560 steps (the route goes steeply upward continuously).
* Hike Duration: On average 1.5–3 hours round-trip (depending on pace and rest stops).
* Distance: Around 1–1.5 km one way.
* Difficulty: Moderate. Despite having stairs, the climb requires good physical fitness due to the continuous steep incline.

Safe to hike during dry conditions (late May to October). In winter or under icy conditions, the ascent is extremely dangerous due to the risk of slipping, avalanches, or rockfalls.
Stone benches are built along the stairs for resting.
Sturdy hiking shoes and windproof clothing are recommended (strong, cold winds are common along the ridge).

Kochelsee, Bayern, Deutschland 🇩🇪.

Кохельзее — это одно из самых живописных и уютных озер Верхней Баварии, расположенное всего в 70 км к югу от Мюнхена, прямо у подножия Баварских Альп.
Оно уникально тем, что находится прямо на границе между плоской предгорной равниной и резким альпийским рельефом: с северной стороны берега мягкие и равнинные, а с южной — озеро буквально упирается в крутые склоны гор Херцогштанд (Herzogstand) и Йохберг (Jochberg)
➡️Площадь: около 6 км².
➡️Глубина: до 66 метров.
➡️Расположение: округ Бад-Тёльц-Вольфратсхаузен (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen).

Пеший маршрут вокруг озера составляет около 15 км. Маршрут очень разнообразный: проходит через лесные тропы, береговые зоны и даже болотный ландшафт (Moor).

Подъем на Herzogstand (1731 м): Из соседнего города Вальхензее ходит канатная дорога, но активные туристы часто поднимаются пешком от Кохельзее. С вершины открывается захватывающий вид сразу на два озера — Кохельзее и более высокое Вальхензее (Walchensee).

В музее Франца Марка (Franz Mark Museum), расположенном прямо над озером в поселке Kochel am See, собрана отличная коллекция работ Франца Марка, Василия Кандинского и Габриэле Мюнтер.

Долина Фурнаш — это огромный кратер спящего вулкана (последнее извержение было в 1630 году).

Это место считается одним из самых насыщенных геотермальных уголков планеты: земля здесь буквально «дышит», а пара и шипение доносятся прямо из-под ног.
Вода в бурлящих котлах и источников достигает 95–100 °C. Воздух наполнен характерным запахом серы, а из недр на поверхность выходят вода и грязи, насыщенные железом и минералами.
Из-за высокого содержания железа и серы горные породы вокруг источников окрашены в яркие желтые, оранжевые и ржаво-красные цвета.

Fumarolas/Caldeiras расположены не где-то далеко в горах, а прямо среди жилых улиц, садов и домов местной деревни.

Здесь находятся бесконечные сочные пастбища, дающие знаменитый азорский сыр и молоко.
Совсем рядом спрятана Gruta do Carvão — самая длинная лавовая трубка на острове.

Закаты в деревне Моштейруш (Mosteiros) на острове Сан-Мигел — это, без преувеличения, визитная карточка Азорских островов и одно из самых зрелищных природных шоу в Атлантике.
Моштейруш расположен на самом западе острова, поэтому солнце здесь уходит прямо в океан, создавая невероятную драматичную картинку.

Maia Ribeiro Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores.

Чай здесь начали выращивать в конце XIX века. Когда угас экспорт апельсинов, местное общество пригласило мастеров из Макао, которые обучили островитян искусству выращивания и ферментации чая.
Фабрика по обработке чая работает с 1883 года, и на ней до сих пор используют оригинальное английское оборудование Маршалла XIX и начала XX века.
