God created man in his image.
Let that sink in.

The love I have for men…especially Black men…runs deep.
I don’t even know how to organize what I’m trying to say, but I love y’all the most.

When you lead, we follow.
When you’re good, we’re good.
The love men exude is powerful…it’s one of my greatest inspirations.

The masculinity of your love… it’s the missing piece to the feminine puzzle. Together, it creates something sacred. A home. A legacy. God knew exactly what He was doing.

The guidance, the direction, the authority, the protection….
It’s something only you can give.
It’s one of God’s greatest gifts to the world.

But don’t let the world convince you that you have to be strong all the time.
Even Paul, the same man who traveled the world preaching the gospel said, “when I am weak, then I am strong”.

He knew that real strength isn’t about pretending.
It’s about honesty. Surrender.
You don’t have to carry it all. You don’t have to have it all figured out.
That’s not weakness, it’s divine strength.

I hope you know the supernatural power that lives inside you.
Don’t you know you run this shit?
Do right by your power.

I get emotional thinking about why God created Adam before He created Eve………

The Fine Tooth Comb is a documentary that captures the journey of a woman whose vision, creativity, and boldness set a standard that continues to echo today.

An intimate look into a life built through hair, faith, discipline, and belief, this story follows her rise from humble beginnings into a legacy that still lives and breathes in real time.

For the past two years, I have been working to bring this story to life from the ground up with no formal background in film, just passion and a deep desire to share something meaningful with the world.

What started as an idea has turned into something real. The footage is captured. The story is there. Now I am at the final stage, needing support to complete the editing and bring this film fully to life.

I truly believe this story can inspire people, and I am committed to seeing it through.

If you feel connected to this, I would love your support in helping me finish it.

This is a story about my incredible mom.

With love,
Her daughter

I mystically look forward to the day I don’t have to feel the pain of losing you but for now ima live because I know I still have a mission to complete here on earth. Thank you for the tools, lessons, encouragement, swag, and life’s gifts you’ve given me.

I watched you fight dad. I watched your transition. I had to make sure you know I love you. I had to make sure you know jesus is with you. I had to make sure you weren’t alone. I’m so grateful for everybody who loved you. The whole family never left your side. We had to hold it down and be there for you even through the pain dad. I told God long ago I wanted to be closer to him I didn’t know he was gonna use you to stretch my faith. It worked. But God is so good he gave us the time to make it all right. Going from kicking shit with you to holding your earthly shell with no life in it forever changed me. I know your spirit is with the lord!! I can’t be mad at that. I know you’d want me to keep going and be all you constantly told me I am and more. There is no love lost! I know grandma and grandpa happy to have their baby again.

None of us are isolated from the pain of loss. One day we’re all gonna pass. Ima keep making it my business to spread Gods word and hold on to faith and keep my eyes fixed on things above. This life shit is wild but know it’s more spiritual than it ever was physical. Ima stand on that and live by it.

Your blood flows through my veins. I’m never without you.
Before you left, I told you not to be afraid to let go. Now, I have to tell myself not to be afraid to keep living without you. I’II carry your love, your encouragement, and your memory with me for the rest of my life. I’m at peace knowing you’re with Jesus.
Thank you for being my daddy, deeper than words.

A perfectly, imperfect love story.

I love you forever.
EC LEGEND.

I feel like historically Black people were stripped of value for so long that when we finally gained access to money, status or visibility, we naturally attach deep emotional meaning to material things. Sometimes we don’t even fully have the money, yet we still stretch ourselves financially to access those things because they make us feel valuable, seen, respected or accomplished in the world that historically denied us those feelings.

Black people have been denied ownership, stability, opportunity, and dignity for generations. It makes sense why visible success became important. Sometimes the jewelry, clothes, cars, and image are deeper than vanity, sometimes proof that we matter proof that we survive proof that we made it out.

I sympathize with that.

But feel like somewhere along the way we confused visible success with actual wealth because looking rich and being wealthy are not the same thing and I feel like many of us have been trapped in a cycle performing value instead of building it.

We’ve spent so much time proving ourselves to each other that it creates pressure, comparison, division, and unhealthy competition within our own community. people go broke, maintaining images. People will die…to maintain an imagine. People sacrifice peace trying to look successful, and meanwhile, the things that create long term freedom and stability often get overlooked.

I’ve been reading scripture and books like Ecclesiastics and 1 John are a huge part of why I think this way. Plus the proof is in front of us regularly. Scripture talks so much about the the emptiness of chasing the world and how “the world only offers a craving for everything we see and pride in our possessions”. The older I get the more I realize how much of this truly does not matter the way we think it does.

At the end of the day image is temporary, validation is temporary But peace, purpose, wisdom, community faith, and freedom means so much more. These are things I think about deeply. I wonder what our world could look like if we redefine what’s truly valuable by @larichess

If the son of God prayed, sought help, leaned on the Father, expressed grief, and allowed others to walk beside him, why have we convinced men that they must carry everything alone?

You’ve had permission all along.

I’ve been thinking about the significance of God creating man first.

Not because man is more valuable than women, but because there is something beautiful about the attention God gave him.

Before Eve.
Before family.
Before society.
Before Expectations.

There was man.

God formed him from the dust of ground, breathed life into his lungs, entrusted him with purpose, and placed him in the garden.

And after all of that, God made an observation…

“It is not good for man to be alone.”

I find that profound.
Because the first thing that God identified as “not good” was not man’s strength.

Not his Intelligence.
Not his leadership.
Not his ability.
Not his purpose.

It was his isolation.

Before man ever voiced a need, God recognized one. Before man ever asked for help, God provided it.

That tells me something.

It tells me that needing help was never a flaw in your design.
It was part of it.

The creator who formed you himself acknowledge your need for support, companionship, guidance, and help.

So perhaps the greatest illusion ever sold to men is that “strength” means needing none of those things.

Perhaps the strongest men were never the men who needed nothing.

Perhaps they were the men who understood they were never meant to carry life alone. Because scripture paints a different picture than the one many men have been handed.

Moses needed help.
David needed help.
Elijah needed help.
Jeremiah needed help.
Paul needed help.
And even Jesus needed help.

The greatest man to ever walk the earth did not live as though he needed no one.

He prayed.
He wept.
He sought the Father.
He withdrew when he needed restoration.
He invited his disciples into his grief.

In the garden, knowing what lay ahead, he openly expressed the sorrow he was carrying.

Not because he was weak.
But because he was human.

28 months of hard work.

No experience. No film school. No industry connections. Trial and error. Ups and downs.

I wore every hat and played every role on this journey. I simply figured it out one step at a time.

And with the help and support of so many of you, here we are…

Finally at the editing stage.

Editing starts TOMORROW.

I feel the need to be transparent about what it takes to build something from the ground up. All that mysterious shit is for the birds. Inspire others….and show the real!
