I have to say at 46 my life has changed a lot. I went from solely running a yoga studio and teaching yoga and of course being a mom, to now a 3rd grade special education teacher to students who have stole my heart.

While my students were supposed to be doing reading & math they decided to make me cards with the most beautiful messages for my birthday. To say I love these kids is an understatement.

If you are to observe me as a 3rd grade teacher, I’m sure I would receive a lot of feedback on how I can improve. What I can say, and I know I do well, is make sure each of these kids know that they are loved, seen, heard and know they are perfect just as they are.

Here’s to 46 years on this physical earth and to the lifetimes before and to come. 💜🙏

My dear friend Rosita @rositaroldan5346 asked me to be part of her photography project connecting Staten Island artists with Staten Island landmarks.

I was deeply honored when she asked me to create shapes through movement at Postcards, the Staten Island 9/11 Memorial. Being in that space came with a tremendous sense of responsibility. I could feel the weight and presence of the lives lost, and I wanted every shape, every movement, and every moment of stillness to come from a place of reverence, remembrance, and respect.

Here is one of the photographs from that experience. I’m incredibly grateful to Rosita for inviting me to be part of something so meaningful. 🤍

May we always remember. taken in Staten Island, New York by @larissagracebe

This has been a great summer. I have slept most of it away and it’s been absolutely lovely.

Don’t get me wrong, I have played a lot of outdoor fun, and beached it out. I can honestly say - sleeping, really sleeping during a time when I am usually running, has been completely revolutionary.

That’s all I can say. Grateful for my teacher @cyndisphere & @kiraleighbird for really teaching me this art and finally taking it into my life.

Happy Birthday to my husband, Mike @mykjones. As soon as I think of what to write, my eyes well up with tears and my heart softens. Oh, how wonderful life is because I have you to create and live life with. Your consideration, support, patience, creativity, love, kindness, strength, and the way you are a true protector of your family are beautiful to witness and experience!

I love you so much! You are the person I love to spend every minute of life with!

Happy Birthday, Mike. The skies opened so brightly on this day. 🤍
