✨ WE’RE ON THE COVER OF HOUSE BEAUTIFUL! ✨

Cue the glitter and the happy dance! A big thank you to @josaltz, @elizabethangell_ , and the amazing team @housebeautiful for featuring this three-year labor of love. Shoutout to @stacyzaringoldberg, @kim.max.photography, and @melanie.mckinley.stylist for capturing it so beautifully, and to our incredible clients who trusted our vision so completely. And of course, the biggest hug to my Lark team (especially @aliames, my partner-in-crime for this project)—you are truly the best in the biz!

Fun fact: House Beautiful has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Our wicker magazine basket was always overflowing with issues, my mom’s favorite pages dog-eared (because before Instagram/Pinterest, there were magazines). It’s the magazine I flipped through during carpool waits, cut up for school collages, and subscribed to the moment I had a house of my own to design.

So to see our work on the cover? Let’s just say little-me is totally freaking out—and grown-up me isn’t far behind. ❤️

Sticky fingers and muddy paws welcome! ✋🏼🐾

At Lark Interiors, we design for real life - kids and pets included. It’s more than a tagline; it’s our commitment to creating spaces for every stage of life. We believe a home can and should be both luxurious and livable, both beautiful and functional, and that is exactly how we approach design.

We are so excited and truly honored to share that Lark Interiors has been named a @dhome Best Designer another year!! This recognition comes from nominations made by builders, trade partners and fellow designers, which makes it especially meaningful to us 🤍

Sadly we missed the celebration last week because we were deep in a photoshoot. Insider scoop: interior photoshoots are way longer and way more exhausting than they look. Full days of moving furniture, styling every inch to perfection, making the light cooperate and then putting it all back together again. It’s all worth it though because sharing finished projects is our favorite and this one is so dang good. Coming soon!

Cheers to our fellow Best Designers and @dhome for always celebrating great design 🥂✨ by @lark.interiors

Hot take: Arches are not out. That is nonsense. For more of our thoughts on this, check out our Diet Coke rant in Stories 🥤💬

In the meantime, here are a few examples of arches used beautifully across several different projects.

Did we put them everywhere? Absolutely not. But did we use them where they made sense, to add architectural interest? Absolutely yes.

You heard it here. A well-placed arch will never go out of style. by @lark.interiors

Couches were harmed in the making of this content.

Chocolate syrup ended up on that white stripe of my green velvet sofa. But you know what? It was no problem-o because we practice what we preach. It’s performance fabric and it came right out with a little soap and water!

Don’t believe it? Check out stories for proof 👀

This kitchen had a different job this morning: birthday headquarters 🥳 My middle child is officially 16, which seems hard to believe.

We always say that one of the greatest honors we have as designers is getting to create spaces that become the backdrop for your cherished memories…the family celebrations, the everyday moments, and your children’s childhoods.

Today, I got to experience that in my own kitchen. A pretty good reminder of why we do what we do ❤️

Went to see @oliviadeano in Austin last weekend and I fear this is now an Olivia Dean audio account for the foreseeable future 😂

She was incredible. Her voice, the vibes, the energy. Just pure joy. 10/10. No notes.

So I’m here to say: buy the concert ticket. Put a chandelier over your bathtub. Do the things that make you feel like Olivia Dean on stage. Life is short.

You can’t splurge on everything. (Well, you can…but you don’t have to!) Here is where we would spend and where we would save when furnishing a home.

Kate would also like the record to show that when it comes to wallpaper, quality matters, so the splurge is worth it. Consider this her official addendum. 😂 She is shy and gets nervous, okay?! #ɪʏᴋʏᴋ by @lark.interiors

The “extras” aren’t extra.

It’s easy to look at window treatments, art, decorative lighting, pillows, rugs and all those finishing touches as places you can cut back or skip altogether.

And technically, you can.

You will still have a nice room. But it won’t be the room you fell in love with on Pinterest, saved on Instagram or hired a designer to create.

Because a beautiful room isn’t about one thing, even if that one thing is a showstopper. It’s about all the layers working together. The pattern, color, lighting, art, texture and yes, even the stuff on the shelves.

Individually, they might feel like extra. Together, they’re what make a room feel finished.

So when we tell you not to skip the window treatments (or the art, lighting, pillows, accessories...you get the idea), trust us. 😉 by @lark.interiors

The best bathrooms aren’t just beautiful. They’re made for bubble baths, muddy paws, wet towels and the occasional very enthusiastic dog.

Sticky fingers and muddy paws welcome. Always.

We love making the most of those in-between spaces. The end of this hallway was just asking for a little something something.
