a farewell to dc 🤍

I moved to DC as a fresh 21 year old grad, knowing no one, and am leaving as a 30 year old with life so full of loved ones I met in the district. Through every season, year, job, presidential admin, current event, and mood, we comforted each other and made memories in every inch of this city.

looking back through all my pictures it was clear I could neverrrr include all my favorite people in one single post so I hope each and every one of you know who you are, how much you’ve changed my life for the better, and how I’ll miss being so close to you!!! but that’s the great part about lifelong friendships; they’re no match for distance and I’m so lucky to take all of you with me on this new journey.

enough with the sappy—enjoy a few of my favorite dc scenes from the last 9 years 🫶🏽 by @larkxoxo

in surprising news to no one: ya girl is moving to Chicago!!!

the opportunity presented itself and it felt right to make my way back to the midwest, to start a new adventure in a “new” city that I love so much. DC will always have my heart, and knowing I’ll be back frequently (for work and for fun!!!) has made this bittersweet decision a little easier.

I’ve still got a whole summer left out here in the swamp so stay tuned for future emotional outbursts and MANY going away celebrations 🤭 by @larkxoxo
