🏒THE DEAL 💞 By Elle Kennedy “Penises! 🍆 Sweet Jesus.🍆💞🍆💞 Penises everywhere.🍆 Horror slams into me as I register what I’m seeing. Oh God. I’ve stumbled onto a penis convention. Big penises and small penises and fat penises and penis-shaped penises. It doesn’t matter which direction I move my head because everywhere I look I see penises.” THIS BOOK 😂🫶🏽 Tis the season of Hockey Smut and Heated Rivalry! 🍕Fake Dating 💞Enemies to Friends to Lovers 🎤Talented Singing FMC 📚Tutoring 🏒Hockey College Captain MMC 🎵Forced Proximity 🎸Trauma & Healing Representation 📙Dual POV ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Honestly, I devoured this book on New Years Day. I fully immersed myself in the off campus series reading and listening to it on KU! Audiobooks are a NECESSITY and bring these characters to life while reading along. Hannah Wells, a talented music student, makes a deal with Mr. Popular hockey captain Garrett Graham, to tutor him in exchange to fake date. Hannah wants to get the attention of her crush, but then it starts to backfire. The more time they spend together, watching Breaking Bad and falling asleep in the same bed 🤭, feelings start to ignite. Hannah opens up about being raped and struggles with intimacy and Garrett could not be more caring, loving, supportive, and attentive to her. Garrett also opens up about his abusive NHL legend father and the death of his mother. They trauma bond in the most beautiful way. Their love story was incredibly realistic, refreshing, and I truly loved how they helped heal each other. I resonated with these characters because it was my college experience. I enjoyed watching movies, cuddling and waking up next to my best friend. Ahh college memories 🫶🏽 the undeniable love Garrett has for Hannah is just SO PRECIOUS. He never stopped loving her 🥹😭 Can’t wait to see this series debut on amazonprime this year! Amazing artwork by @margana_mgn 🎨😍 by @larryzlibrary
🌟HAPPY FILIPINO AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH🌟 Just traveled overseas to our beloved Motherland of the Philippines 🇵🇭 to celebrate my daughter’s first birthday and meeting her great grandparents for the first time! Baby Gigi survived 20+ hours flying just to meet her whole family here! It’s also her first time in Asia 😍 I’m beyond humbled and grateful to be Pinay and teach her the importance of reading and understanding our Filipino culture. The Filipino way of life: 🌟Kapwa: Shared Identity - It drives the belief that you are never truly alone and are always connected to others 🇵🇭Bayanihan: Communal Unity - The traditional practice of helping one another and working together as a community without expecting a reward, historically visualized as neighbors carrying a house on their shoulders. 🌟Malasakit: Compassion - A deep, proactive sense of empathy, care, and ownership for the well-being of family, friends, or even strangers in need. 🇵🇭Pakikisama: Social Harmony - The value of getting along smoothly with others, maintaining pleasant relationships, and avoiding direct public conflict. 🌟Utang na Loob: Debt of Gratitude - A lasting moral obligation to remember and repay kindness or help given to you by someone else. We learned this first hand this month! 🇵🇭Bahala na: Faith and Resilience - Translated roughly as “come what may,” it is an attitude of surrendering worries to fate or a higher power during difficult times while pressing forward with hope. Below are some books my cousin @syd_villanueva shared with me as she is studying to become a lawyer in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Politics, cooking, religion, 🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+ literature that I’m adding to my TBR! Our culture is rich in food, history, culture, music, religion and beyond. Every day I try to teach Gigi a new word of Tagalog as I learn too! Being a Filipino American has its challenges as a second generation daughter of immigrant parents, but I hope to instill the beauty and resilience of our culture in my children and family. Miraming Salamat @atemarcelareads__ and @filipinaauthorsbookclub for including me again for this fabulous book tour! Please explore my fellow Pinoy authors & content crea by @larryzlibrary

But when the Durstrum Army marches on Forde, Reese’s world is shattered overnight. With war drums at their back, she and Finn flee into the mountains where they are intercepted by two dragon riders. Forced against their will, they are taken to Dyerfjell Castle. Dyerfjell is a stronghold where every secret seems tied to Durstrum’s bloody past, and as Reese’s strange connection to the dragons begins to grow, she is pulled deeper into a conflict far larger than the attack on her village. Her only guide through this dangerous new world is Zekiel Valgun, the Alpha Commander of Dyerfjell, whose authority Reese challenges at every turn. Between politics, secrets, and a growing attraction neither of them wants to admit, Reese must decide whether to keep running from the war or embrace the power awakening inside her. Keeper of the Flames is a high stakes romantic fantasy series set in a world reminiscent of middle earth in Lord of the Rings and the Last Kingdom. With threads of Norse Mythology woven throughout the story, the world is full of medieval lore and mythical creatures. 🫀DAGGERMOUTH🫀 By HM Wolfe ✨Currently Reading & LOVING ✨ “Women are the backbone, the foundation, the immovable force that still does not falter when men stand on our spines to grab power. So no, Callum, I am not fragile. The cracks in my soul aren’t broken places. They are veins cemented together with rage. And it will take more than the hands of men to kill my spirit, to break my will.” 🔪True Enemies to Lovers ✊🏽Political Marriage 🫀Grumpy FMC & MMC 🔪Morally Gray Masked Chracters ✊🏽Dark Dystopian 🫀Female Rage 🔪Corrupt Government ✊🏽Duet Narration Teddy Hamilton & Angel Pean 🔥🥵 🫀Forced Proximity I just started this and now 75% into it and LOVING EVERY SECOND 🔥🔥🔥 already ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ forever in my dystopian era! Love Greyson and Shadera! Will definitely finish this tonight! ⚔️Blurb⚔️ Set in a corrupt surveillance state ruled by the masked elite, this true enemies-to-lovers dystopian romance that’s Conform meets V For Vendetta follows a mercenary who botches the assassination of the president’s son and ends up forced to marry him. The first thing you’ll learn in New Found Haven is that mercy doesn’t exist. The second thing is that, from the highest glass atrium in the Heart to the windowless slums of the Boundary, the Veyra are always watching. The last lesson is the hardest, but you must remember it: Love outside of your ring is a death sentence. The city is carved into rings of privilege and poverty, ruled by the masked elite who will do whatever it takes to hold onto power. Obedience is demanded. Rebellion is crushed. Greyson Serel has spent his life caught between two worlds. Publicly, he’s the flawless heir to the presidency. Privately, he’s entangled in secrets that could topple the regime. But when he’s forced into a political marriage meant to bind him tighter to the government’s brutal laws, he finds himself shackled to a bride as lethal as she is unwilling. Shadera Kael is a mercenary raised to kill, not to wed. Yet when her bullet misses its mark, survival leaves her tied to the very man she was sent to eliminate. 🐺FURY BOUND🐺 By Sable Sorensen “The shattered pieces of me recognize the shattered pieces of you, and that’s why I am telling you: I will give you time.” 🐺Morally Grey Chracters 💖Political Intrigue ⚔️Shadow Magic 🐺Found Family 💖Bonded Wolves ⚔️Dual POV ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 🌶️ Meryn has inherited the crown of Nocturna, but ruling a kingdom fractured by generations of lies is anything but simple. With war closing in, her sister Saela in danger, and the commoners, Bonded, and nobles questioning their new queen, Meryn has to figure out who she can actually trust. Enter Stark Therion—the dangerous Alpha she thought hated her, whose loyalty proves to be far more complicated than either of them expected. Add bonded direwolves, political intrigue, vengeance, dark magic, betrayals, and a romance that is absolutely on fire, and you have one hell of a sequel. This book gave me EVERYTHING I wanted from Meryn and Stark—the tension, the chemistry, the power struggle, and the delicious “I hate you… wait, why do I desperately trust you?” energy. I loved getting deeper into Meryn and Anassa’s bond, watching Meryn step into her power, and seeing the world of Nocturna expand beyond what we knew in Dire Bound. The friendships, betrayals, twists, deaths 😭😩and emotional moments kept me completely invested, and honestly… Stark’s POV? Bless. 😮‍💨🔥 But that Cliffhanger?!? What is going to happen to my boyyy?!? AyooOoO more chaos for book 3.. BET. Girl I am forever STARVING FOR STARK I swear this man is mine 😍 Also Larry Bird 🐾 approves 💅🏽 QOD: What do you do during a cliffhanger at the end of the book? I throw it across the room and complain to all of you, my beautiful book besties. WHAT DID I READ?!? 😂 Happy Reading beautiful bookish babies 💖🧡💛🩵💚💜 by @larryzlibrary
🌀THE CALAMITY CLUB🌀 By Kathryn Stockett “If you give a girl a taste of fresh air and then take it away, she will grow fierce and wild to get that fresh air back again.” 💖Motherhood 👯‍♀️Unlikely Female Sisterhood 😜Women’s Freedom 💋Chosen Family 💖Institutional Abuse 👯‍♀️Eugenics 😜The absent or ineffectual male 💋Racism 💖Child Abuse 👯‍♀️Ableism 😜Sexual Content ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️ “GET IN. GET OUT. GET LAID. GET PAID.” This book had me at that line. If you had an empty house and could turn it into a brothel…would you do it?! ВАНАНАНАНА YES.** Because, honey… **SEX SELLS.** 💅🏽 Set in 1933 Mississippi during the Great Depression, *The Calamity Club* follows Meg, an eleven-year-old orphan fighting to survive a brutal orphanage, Birdie, a young woman desperately trying to save her family’s farm, and Charlie, a woman with absolutely nothing left to lose. When their lives collide, these women come together and hatch one hell of an unconventional plan to take back control of their lives. And GIRL… the audacity. The chaos. The secrets. The women saying, “fuck it, we’re going to figure this out ourselves.” I LOVE this book so damn much. It made me laugh, had me completely invested in these women, and had me sitting there like, I would do the exact same thing.. completely unhinged and I was here for it alllll 😂 Kathryn Stockett said historical fiction, but then sprinkled in desperation, female friendship, scandal, survival, and a whole-ass secret brothel and somehow made me eat up all 600+ pages. She’s the same author who wrote THE HELP which was FABULOUS! Highly recommend this audiobook too! Such a fun, wild, strong bad ass empowerment female read! Enjoy my loves 😘 Also come check out my newest favorite fabulous bookstore @thebookloungestp in St. Pete, Florida 🏝️ Happy Reading 💖🩵💜💛🧡 by @larryzlibrary
