This Monday we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved Oakley. After learning that he had a tumor on his prostate that was inoperable, and with treatment that we feared would not allow him to be his normal self while also not giving him very much more time, we decided to let him live his best life until we could see it was time.

The last week his pain increased and mobility decreased dramatically, and we had to make the call earlier than we expected. He was one of the toughest dogs I’ve ever seen, so to see and hear him in pain was absolutely heartbreaking, but made the decision easier for us.

Growing up, we had a great German Shepherd named Caesar, and it was always my dream to have my own. Having Oakley grow up with the kids has been a dream come true. He made it just to his 8th birthday, but in that time we loved him for a lifetime. He was a great protector, beautiful, smart, obedient, and there was no doubt he was my boy, he watched me like a hawk and wanted to be with me always. He loved our family, but he also really loved tennis balls, patrolling the property, riding in the car (especially my mom’s), water, hikes with Farmor (my mom) who helped raise him, and his cousin Viggo, but he hated Coyotes 😂

We are happy that we got to spend the last month and a half spoiling him, and our Labor Day trip to Jalama Beach a few weeks ago was the best time I think he could have asked for, digging holes, going into the waves, and being around friends and other dogs.

Crazy how time flies, 19 years old already! @heidivalcore you have always been a great daughter, sister, student, and we are so proud of you! It has been so cool to watch you grow into a woman and a great human being. Your determination and work ethic whether at school or your job at the veterinary hospital has been inspiring and I can’t wait to see what you will do in the future! I am so lucky to be your stepdad. I’m sure my career would not have had the same trajectory if it wasn’t for @crtwotwo offering me the opportunity to help him start TwoTwo Motorsports. I was exposed to so much more than what I was somewhat “stuck” doing at the time, and it gave me the chance to learn about and deal with sponsors, vendors, and giving me more responsibility than maybe I thought I was ready for. So many cool things I got to be a part of, and so many great stories, way too many to tell here.
Congratulations Chad, very proud to have been a part of your journey, and very happy for you to be recognized in the AMA Hall of Fame. 👏👏 by @larswrench

I don’t post enough about these boys and just how amazing they are and have been this year. That first 450 moto watching @jettson18 rip through the pack and doing Jett things like doubling off the off camber inside was insane and so badass. @hunterlawrence dominating from start to finish and the pushing for the win in the second moto even though he knew he had the overall win already was equally awesome to watch. Then @joshimoda battling through his illness to put himself in the position to capitalize made me proud of the grit and determination that he needed to have an advantage for the last race. What a night!! Thanks to everyone back at the factory, Torrance, Alpharetta, Asaka, Kumamoto! It takes a village as they say, and our village is strong 💪 by @larswrench

Wow, this weekend really couldn’t have been scripted any better. It gave me vibes of Fox Raceway 2022, and will forever be etched in my memory. So proud of @joshimoda for trusting the team to make changes in the middle of the season, and doing whatever it takes to get the starts that he’s been needing.
I feel so honored and proud to have the Lawrence family on our team, and I feel lucky to be a part of the history that they’re making as brothers in our sport. @hunterlawrence your mindset, determination, and personality are an inspiration to me, and @jettson18 this season has been insane, that second Moto was incredible to watch 🤯 #Legend by @larswrench

Haven’t raced anything really in a lot of years, decided to give it a go @mammothmotocross since I had a lot of buddies racing and hanging out up there. It kicked my butt but I had a great time, no crashes (a couple close ones), one holeshot, and a couple consolation Bears for top ten in 40A. Stoked my wife @jenn.lindstrom and Henrik came with and stuck it out with me ❤️ Thanks to @stevee401 for motivating me to go and bringing my bike, along with @edlhuffine and @crad104 , I had a great time hanging out and talking trash with you guys. Thanks also to @slr_honda , @thereal_goose for the help, @jwsutter for always allowing me to come ride, and to the teams awesome sponsors that helped me out! A BIG shout out to @foxmoto and @kdayinthelife for making me look great and protected with the best gear in the business!
