Let’s Work Together to Keep Our Roads Safe!

When you see law enforcement vehicles with flashing lights and sirens (Code 3), please PULL OVER TO THE RIGHT! Your kindness and cooperation help us respond quickly and safely to emergencies. Thank you for being a responsible driver and helping keep our community safe! by @lasdlakewood

Hi Lakewood Station neighbors!

This survey is here to help the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department learn how we can better connect with and serve our community.

Please feel free to stop by the station to fill out a complaint or commendation form, or simply scan the QR code above. by @lasdlakewood

Lakewood Station proudly serves five cities—Lakewood, Paramount, Bellflower, Artesia, and Hawaiian Gardens. Together, these communities represent a population of over 235,000 people, rich in diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Mom & pop businesses line the streets, adding character, history, and a strong sense of community. In one city, you may see families walking the streets by candlelight during Las Posadas, while in another, streets are adorned with beautiful, vibrant flowers for Diwali.

What makes this station unique is not only the deputies and staff who serve it, but the communities we serve.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yesterday, Lakewood Station volunteers were invited to participate in the Volunteer Services Unit first-ever Trunk or Treat!

Volunteers from stations throughout the county decorated their trunks, handed out treats, and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with members of the community.

Thank you to the Volunteers Services Unit for organizing a fun event and bringing our stations together for an afternoon of community engagement!

Building relationships, creating memories, and strengthening our communities—one connection at a time. by @lasdlakewood

Deputies had a spooktacular time joining students, families, and staff at Harry Wirtz Elementary’s Trunk or Treat event in the City of Paramount! Our deputies enjoyed connecting with the community and handing out treats, during this fun-filled Halloween event. 🍬🚔

As Halloween approaches, remember to keep safety a priority while trick-or-treating:

🎃 Stay in groups and look out for one another.
👻 Wear bright or reflective clothing so drivers can see you.
🍬 Check all candy before eating.
🚦 Use sidewalks and crosswalks, and always look both ways before crossing.

Wishing everyone a fun and safe Halloween! by @lasdlakewood

On October 10th, Lakewood Station’s Sergeant Suarez participated in the Special Olympics Boots & Badges Chili Cook-Off, bringing the heat for a great cause!

With hours of dedication and the perfect recipe, Sergeant Suarez took home 1st place for Best-Tasting Chili!

Congratulations, Sergeant Suarez, on a well-deserved win! We’re proud to support events that bring our community together for a great cause.

Deputies assigned to the City of Paramount remain vigilant and proactive, arresting two convicted felons and recovering multiple dangerous loaded firearms, drugs, and body armor.

Through proactive enforcement, our deputies continue working to keep dangerous individuals and weapons off our streets and our communities safer 🚔🤝 by @lasdlakewood

Yesterday, Lakewood Station partnered with Lakewood City Public Safety to kick off a weeklong educational program with local elementary schools focused on student safety, positive choices, and personal growth.

Throughout the week, students will engage in important conversations about stranger safety, peer pressure, being a good person, careers and goal setting, social media safety, cyberbullying, e-bike safety, and decision-making.

By having these conversations early, we can raise awareness, build confidence, and empower students with the knowledge and tools they need to make safe, responsible decisions both in and out of the classroom.

Together, we’re investing in the safety, well-being, and future of our youth! by @lasdlakewood
