Movie critic @film.obsessive_ gave high praise to the team behind the film, Tender, including our very own Senior Colorist Frederik Bokkenheuser (@fredebokken), stating, “It is a real piece of work by people who clearly know what they are doing, and the color-grading alone is worth the price of attention.”

The review goes on to say: “But the detail I keep returning to, the one that tells you this film is paying closer attention than it lets on, is the color. Tender alternates its grade depending on who Billie is with. When she is alone, the frame goes bright, warm, almost oversaturated. When her husband enters it, everything cools and darkens. The movie is telling you, without a line of dialogue, exactly what this marriage costs her. She is lit like someone who is more alive when he is not in the room."

Thank you, film obsessive, for the review! To read the full article, see the link in our stories.

Tender is written and directed by Adam Hoelzel (@ahoelzel) with cinematography by Antonio Cisneros (@laserbeamfistface). by @laserbeamfistface

The Cookie Queens trailer is out in theaters… I can report it’s playing in front of Sheep Detective at AMC’s across the country. It was also on the Today show Friday. This is a surreal moment… will be in theaters August 7.
