1. The Pick Up - establishing control on one leg 🦵🏼

2. The Coil - beginning to get around the rear hip socket 🔁

3. The Stretch - continuing to coil and get around the rear hip socket creating a forward move, as the upper half loads up the back, drawing the knob down the batters box line. 🔃 by @lasershowbsbl

45 degree stretch & fire to pick up ⚡️

Focus is on the upper half loading up the back, up the batters box line. Keeping the knob going up the line. Letting the coil pick up the front foot and stretching on one leg. Tilting & firing the barrel down the back and catching the ball the down swing.

Want to hit 100 EV as a Sophomore in HS?? 🚀

⚡️ Try Sprinter Stance Swings ⚡️

So Many Good Things In This Clip From Our Hybrid Athlete @reidmyers02

1) The Set-Up
- Reid taps his left foot to establish complete rear legged-ness
- His trunk posture is over his rear leg creating a rotational axis that can stay through the middle of the field and not rotate off the ball

2) The Swing
- In the Slow Mo you can see his back hip initiates the swing, creating the leg pulling the barrel behind it
- This allows his bat to blur rearward as his leg drives forward with his hands keeping space behind his rear hip, generating torque behind the ball and creating space rather than his hands pushing towards the ball; diminishing his margin for error

3) The Finish
- With a cue of switching his front belly button with his hypothetical back belly button, this allows Reid’s lower back to be facing the ground/plate in his finish
- This reinforces him keeping good direction through the middle of the field and not rotating off his line by @lasershowbsbl

18 year old Ching-Hsien Ko of the Dodgers will be a hitter to look out for.

Here he’s seen catching a barrel in a live at bat against Shohei Ohtani.

He demonstrates some serious elite moves. A super mature technique for his age.

He only saw Single A action this year, look out for him in the future. by @lasershowbsbl

90% of hitting issues are due to not being ready on time.

Most hitters are never starting early enough.

Left on left offspeed. There’s no chance this would be a homer if Freeman swung around his spine ❌. This would have resulted in a yanked ground ball or swing and miss

He got behind his rear leg and swung OUT from his body instead of around. This allowed his barrel to be released THROUGH the hitting zone, giving him an optimal chance at catching a barrel. by @lasershowbsbl

All that mixed bp, angled machine, hack attack sliders, foam ball machine, heavy/light weight balls….

Could be doing more harm than good.

Here’s on of the best in the game revealing his routine. It involves none of that. Ohtani trains his one, best swing, over and over, so when he gets in the game, he knows exactly what swing is going to show up.

He’s not manipulating his swing in practice in order to compete against an unrealistic machine drill. He’s simply taking his A swing over and over and over….and when he gets in the game, he’s as prepared as he’ll need to be.

Sometimes the answer is, do less. by @lasershowbsbl

If you no-stride, this video is for you.

Although the front foot is touching the ground, each one of these hitters has their weight completely back up until and during launch.

The foot may be down, but the weight stays back allowing them to adjust and explode all of their weight into the ball. If the front side was weighted before launch, the swing would not be as instant or powerful as you see here, and their adjustability would be heavily compromised.

Try it for yourself. Take a no stride swing with your weight forward, and take another with your weight back. Which feels easier to control? Which feels more powerful and quicker? by @lasershowbsbl

Active takes reveal the running start of the lower body.

Goldschmidt feeling the “wind up”.

Feeling the upper torso stretching around his rear leg, prepping the rear leg to release and drive his swing.

This feeling is crucial and a must for hitters.

Your back leg can either push or pull, this move sets it up to pull. by @lasershowbsbl
