Hey bvnditas! I’ve never done an intro post! It’s long overdue!

I’m Rachel, born and raised on the south side of Chicago and moved to Colorado in 2016. I started figure skating at 5, competed by 9, and trained intensely for 15 years. With a world-class Ukrainian coach yelling “GO DO MORE ” everyday, I learned to take criticism like a champion, wake up hungry for more, and never settle for less.

I was homeschooled from 3rd–8th grade due to migraines that started at 9. I grew up in a strict Christian home, no SpongeBob or Harry Potter, and I wasn’t even allowed to say “oh my gosh” lol.

On the last day of my junior year, I was sent to a residential treatment facility for 10 months and 16 days. Go watch The Program on Netflix for context.

I got certified in laser hair removal, tattoo removal etc in 2014, and became a licensed esthetician in 2019. That same year, I left my new career when I got married. He claimed my overhead was too high and I’d never make a profit. Coming from a conservative Italian-Christian background, I submitted, worked for him (unpaid), and left my passion. That was just the beginning of my short and terrible marriage. I might do a story time one day on how freaking nuts it was.

In 2020, I escaped my abusive marriage, while the world was surfing TikTok, I was homeless. After months of couch-surfing, some amazing people in my life helped me get back on my feet and into my own apartment.

Fun stuff:
• I hate bananas. Banana pudding? Don’t invite me.
• I’m lactose intolerant but often ignore it.
• My rescue Doberman (adopted in 2022) saved me probs more than I saved her.
• I sing! Choir kid, soprano 1, church solos. It runs in the family!
• I collect sneakers and Christmas ornaments (thanks, Dad).
• I can water and snow ski but trip walking in a straight line.
• I love working on cars. I have a 2012 E93.
• I once shaved my widow’s peak at 9 because JEREMIAH CERMAK said I’d be a widow when I grew up. If I see him to this day there will be hands thrown 😩
• Ask me about my T-Rex noise 😂

Also squeezing your eyes the hardest you ever have squeezed literally as I just taped you down perfectly?? WHY?!?
Here are some ways to piss off your lash tech! 😭

• itching your eyes//face
Just keep it together for an hour
• moving your legs and arms
You are moving your whole body atp
•chewing gum
Either spit it out in my hand prior to laying down or chew when I’m not touching you lol
• touching your lashes with your fingers
I’m literally handing you a spoolie as you’re doing this

Using @lightheartlash Berry Beautiful and ughhhh she is berry berry beauty 🤩

Brown extensions have come such a long way since I started lashing. At first, there were two. Just two tones of brown. A light orangey auburn plastic looking brown. Or dark brown airing on the side of black. That’s all companies put out and honestly I thought that was as good as it was going to get lol.

Discovering all these gorgeous tones of brown have not only elevated my lash sets but given my clients options of something that will truly compliment their skin tone, eye and hair color. Instead of wiping out the clients skin or eyes, brown just gets the job done and done WELL amiright??? 😍
