I never thought a big expo could feel so personal and intimate! There were many times I felt connected to everyone in the conference room through laughs, tears, and raw storytelling! Thank you so much @lovedandlashed for this beautiful experience! This day was truly all about CONNECTION! 🫂

I learned so much through the conversations I had and the presentations I sat in on. I am SO READY to blend my new discoveries into my current methods and techniques that I use in the lash room 🤩

Being a lash artist for 6 years is a blessing, but there is always so much to learn in this industry! I am grateful to be a life-long learner because this lash community is filled with inspirational beings I can take a note or two from ❤️

I was honored to be invited back to the BIPOC Conference hosted by an amazing organization this year! These conferences have been 2 of the most beautiful highlights of my career. I spoke to incoming 7th and 8th graders about my entrepreneurial journey, but most importantly, I promoted self-love, self-care and identity! Through DIY facials and self-affirmations (that I had them scream out so everyone could hear 🗣️), I wanted them to remind themselves of all that they encompass!

I hold these conferences so near to my heart because I remember having low self-esteem when I was in middle school. I learned to love and care for myself, and I truly believe that it is the reason I am happy. And that’s what life’s about, right????

Getting my lashes done is one way I pamper myself and show myself that I am deserving of looking and feeling my best!! I hope to continue to have an impact on my community through this beautiful career ❤️

In the wise words of my amazing friend @fabuleyeslash, “some of y’all done forgot about the artist part”. 🤨 Being at @thelashconference reminds me that we are people first and lash artists second. Our clients and students come to us for our talent and the connections we can build together. It’s what differentiates us from a lash robot or random online course they found on google. Show your authentic self online and in person because that is what makes you special! That is what your business is missing. YOUR SPARK!!!! And your creative touch 😉 Thank you for this important reminder, Shay❤️ Miss you already❤️
