We all are the light and the shadow.
The teacher and the student.
The wounded and the healer.
The becoming and the remembering.

The more deeply we understand ourselves, the harder it becomes to divide humanity neatly into “good people” and “bad people,” awakened and unawakened, worthy and unworthy. We begin to recognize pieces of ourselves in everyone.

Perhaps the deepest truth beneath we all are is simply~

What I honor in you exists within me. What I judge in you asks me to look within me. What I heal within me touches the whole. We are each uniquely ourselves, yet none of us exists separately from the whole.

✨ Galaxy is looking for her person ✨

Galaxy is a beautiful 4 year old American Bully with a tender little soul. I brought her home at 6 months old after she had spent those first months primarily as a kennel dog with very little human interaction. Some of that still lives within her today. She can be timid and very submissive when she first meets someone, but give her time, patience and the opportunity to realize she is safe, and you get to meet the incredibly sweet girl underneath. ❤️

Galaxy loves people once she trusts them and is good with children. She has lived alongside my five kids, but my life is full and busy, and I’ve had to recognize that she deserves more individual time, attention and connection than I can consistently give her. I truly believe she would thrive having her own person. Someone who understands how special it is when a timid dog finally decides, you are my safe place.

Galaxy does need to be the only animal in the home. She has killed a chicken and has fought with other dogs when left unattended, so a home without other animals is what I feel is safest and best for her.

She also has a sensitive stomach after swallowing a rubber toy about 8 months ago and needing surgery to remove a portion of her intestines. She hasn’t tolerated kibble since and currently eats homemade chicken and rice, so her future person will need to be willing to accommodate her dietary needs.

Galaxy isn’t the dog for everyone, and that’s okay. I’m not looking for everyone. I’m looking for her person. 🥹 Someone with patience in their heart, time to pour into her and the willingness to let her unfold at her own pace.

I would love for this next chapter to be the one where Galaxy gets to be someone’s whole world. 🐾❤️

If you genuinely feel you may be that person, please reach out and tell me a little about yourself and the life you could offer her. Finding the right home matters far more to me than finding her a home quickly. 💗 taken in Kansas City, Missouri by @lashonde_bernotas

A true sister and space holder and champion and supporter of myself, especially in my greatest times of need 🥹😭, and humanity. 👕 👞 📦 📖 Got stuff to give away? Tonight @firetribekc will have a table set up to hold clothes, pantry food, household items, books, trinkets, etc to donate what no longer serves you! This also means anything on the table is available to take home, so if you see something you like/need: it’s yours! 💕
