We are so incredibly proud of our Trey! It took some time for him to find his college home at Texas A&M. He has been looking forward to his RING DAY for so long and today was finally the day. Trey will graduate next month, has been working an internship with Aggie baseball all year, a part time job, and will also attend Grad school at A&M in the fall. And one more brag..he is on the Dean’s honor roll. So thankful he followed his heart to Aggieland. WHOOP and way to go T!👍🏻 Also so happy for @addison.gerold ! We celebrated a little early this year in Rome and along the Amalfi coast. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Damian Varga! And to our dear friends, Michelle LaVigne Varga and Paul! So thankful for this amazing group of friends who have been so sweet to me since the day Bob introduced me to them, back in 1995. Grateful for our time together and the memories made this weekend. This post is for Abilene friends and all my prayer warriors. My dear friend, Karen Surovik, is battling cancer. It is stage four colon cancer. I have known Karen since I started kindergarten with my dear friend Lance. Karen needs our bold prayers right now. This is her second round of chemo. (Previous round was last year) Please keep her on your prayer list and please message me if you want to send her a card of encouragement or if you would like to help in other ways. Thank you so much. Today marks two years since I have had this sweet, crazy, funny mother in my world. Sometimes it feels like months and sometimes it feels like years since I have talked to her. Samye used to sign a lot of my cards and notes that she wrote me with “Love , # 1 Mom.” She is defintely one of the peooke who inspired me to want to be a Mom and I miss being able to talk to her about “mom things.” Love you Mom, and I just know you had an amazing day in Heaven. Mother’s Day is different now, balancing the grief of not having my mom here and accepting the gratitude from my adult children. It’s crazy that there are still days that the thought of texting my mom or sending her a picture arises. I miss her and miss having her support and encouragement, especially during the difficult days. I would have given anything to have had more time with her, after living so far away for so many years. Love your mommas and make sure you tell them how much you appreciate them and all they have done for you in your life. I am sure it was a beautiful Mother’s Day in Heaven. Happy 20th birthday to our youngest, Michael! We have officially survived the teen years..Praise Jesus! 🙏🏻Michael came home right before his birthday and surprised us with the news that he will transfer in to Construction Science at A&M in the College of Architecture.
