Sogona Ba is one of the most emblematic traditional pieces of wedding ceremonies in Mali. Played at the opening of the festivities, it announces the start of the celebration and creates an atmosphere of joy, respect and conviviality. Very popular in several Malian communities, this song highlights the rich cultural and musical heritage of the country. Through its rhythms here the pieces are repeated on a faster rhythm and groove by lassine kouyate and Tamba Guillaume Wrobel Percussionniste by @lassinekouyate360

The taman, also called a talking drum, is much more than a simple instrument: it is a voice. Born in West Africa, he is able to imitate the intonations of speech thanks to the tension of his strings which the musician adjusts under his arm. Each rhythm, each vibration tells a story, transmits a message, calls or celebrates. Between tradition and modernity, the taman crosses generations without losing its soul. He speaks to elders and young people alike, carrying within him the memory of people and the power of culture. by @lassinekouyate360
