The first woman to win the US Open! 🏆 by @lastfrontierfarm

An 18 year wait is over. Sharon White won at Bromont with The King’s Spirit back in 2008. It was her last long-format four-star win, until today. In the rain, the local girl is crowned the US Equestrian Open of Eventing Champion at Morven Park. She is the first woman to win an Open final across any of the disciplines.

She loves Morven Park even though this course hasn’t always loved her back. Eliminated here in 2021. Eliminated again in 2022. Last year, 2nd after dressage, then 20 cross-country penalties and 10th. 2026, she rode the round of her life.

26.0 in the dressage. Clear in both jumping phases.

18 years of getting back on, loading up and going again. It all comes back to Virginia. It’s a win for all the people who keep going and keep believing.

🥕 I just got my fall order in from @kerritseq and I wanted to tell you about a couple of my favorite items! You can find your own gear at kerrits.com. by @lastfrontierfarm

It was an odd weekend for me in some ways because it was the first Waredaca Classic Three-Day that I hadn’t attended as a coach in - I can’t even tell you how long! I felt awful missing this year, but I so appreciate Gretchen and the team’s understanding. Because of my injury this spring, my season just had a few detours, and so I had a few things I still needed to get done with my other horses. One of those was Jag’s 4* run at Bouckaert Farm, where she was just so great for me in all three phases. This video is my review of her cross-country round.

She came away with her second win at the level, but more importantly she showed me that her strength is really returning after her injury last year. Like everything, it just takes the time that it takes.

Quizas and Arden Janeway were also fantastic in their 3* runs, finishing in the top five. And a big well done to our head girl Kate Servais, who finished up her second 3* in the new U25 division with Life Story!

Thanks to @sduncan351 for the videos! 🙏

Many thank yous to all who help us every step of the way:

And before you know it, it’s season 3 of the US Equestrian Open of Eventing! 📢We kick things off at Bouckaert where the reigning Open Champion, Sharon White, brings Jaguar Duende for an 18% win chance.

The favorite, Api du Libaire, has contested 12 CCI4*-S classes but this will be his first with Alexa Thompson.

P.S. I Love You and Allie Knowles are wrapping up the gelding’s first CCI4* season after they started by placing 10th in the Carolina CCI4*-S this spring, adding just 6.4 XC time to their dressage score.

Who will earn the Series’ first 40-point haul this weekend? 🤔
