Today I publicly declared what God has been doing privately in my life. I got baptized today, not because I’m perfect, but because I’m growing. God’s grace has carried me through seasons I never thought I’d make it through, and today marks the beginning of a deeper walk with Him. This isn’t the end of a journey. It’s the start of a new one. A life surrendered, a heart being transformed, and a faith that continues to grow day by day. I’m grateful for every lesson, every blessing, every setback, and every breakthrough that brought me to this moment. God is still writing my story, and I’m trusting Him with every chapter. 🙏🏾❤️ #BaptismDay #GodsPlan #FaithOverFear #NewLifeInChrist #BlessedAndGrateful taken in Progressive Baptist Church of Chicago by @lathedon__17

The mirror doesn’t lie. The question is… are you ready to look? 🪞 Introducing THE MIRROR DOESN’T LIE — a new series centered around the conversations we often avoid having with ourselves. For the next 3 months, we’re getting into awareness, growth, and purpose — talking healing, identity, discipline, relationships, faith, success, self-sabotage, and everything in between. No pretending. No judgment. Just real conversations designed to make us stop, reflect, and grow. 3 videos. Every week. 36 conversations. And every conversation ends with a question. Look in the mirror. What do you see? #TheMirrorDoesntLie #MentalWellness #PersonalGrowth #viral #fyp taken in Chicago, Illinois by @lathedon__17

The apology may never come. Neither will every answer. Sometimes the way they treated you is the closure. Stop waiting for permission to move forward. Forget why. Decide what now. The mirror doesn’t lie. Sit with that. 🪞 #TheMirrorDoesntLie #Closure #Healing #SelfReflection #fyp by @lathedon__17

Everybody ain’t gonna like the version of you with boundaries. “You changed.” Yeah… that was the point. Sometimes they don’t miss you. They miss the access they had to you. So ask yourself… Do they miss you… or the old version of you? The mirror doesn’t lie. Sit with that. 🪞 #TheMirrorDoesntLie #Growth #Boundaries #SelfReflection taken in Chicago, Illinois by @lathedon__17

Sometimes it ain’t the world holding you back. Sometimes it’s you. You say you want better, but the moment better requires you to get uncomfortable, be vulnerable, or do something different… you fall back into what feels familiar. Sometimes we get so used to surviving that we don’t know what to do when life finally gives us a chance to live. Stop getting in your own way. Is something really holding you back… or have you gotten comfortable holding yourself back? The mirror doesn’t lie. Sit with that. 🪞 #TheMirrorDoesntLie #SelfReflection #Growth #Healing #FYP taken in Chicago, Illinois by @lathedon__17
