🇺🇸GET❤️OUT🤍THE💙VOTE🇺🇸 by @latigowesternstore

We did some shopping on our way home from Kacey Musgraves this weekend 🤠 Can’t believe it’s already time to stock up for the holidays, kicking into high gear as we head into November. Lots more that’s still at home getting laundered so I mixed in some of last weeks new arrivals. Had to give yall a preview 🪩💃🏼✨ by @latigowesternstore

It’s my favorite time of year, when your coat is the entire outfit 🍂 Make a statement this season with Latigo’s growing collection of outerwear, we’re getting stocked for the colder months and the racks are bursting at the seams 🤠

To all of my fellow Oregonians! 🗽

The deadline to register to vote is coming up SOON!October 13th, less than one week away, is the LAST DAY if you are voting in the November 3rd midterm elections 🇺🇸💌 With the continued federal attacks on the integrity of the USPS and security of mail in voting, I urge you to directly drop your ballot off at an official drop box 📮

For all the locals coming in for the first time and saying “I didn’t even know you were here!” ☮️

Find us across from the courthouse, in between @bookloftoforegon @wallowalandtrust
And don’t forget to stop in for a cup of ambition @thecommons_coffeehouse or lunch at @river_st_market or @sugartimebakeryoregon
While you’re downtown, finish your shopping at @wildcarrotmercantile 🫶🏼💌
Don’t forget Humane Society Thrift is open Wed-Sat and Soroptimist is open Fri-Sat!
Greg at Ruby Peak Music doesn’t have socials but don’t even think about passing up on one of the best record stores around.

Keep it local! Shop small! We love you guys!

We are stocking up on fall consignment! Now taking wool, sweaters, coats, and as always denim denim denim 💌 We are set to surpass last years $10,000 in consigner checks written, and that is a number I am SO PROUD OF!! In this economy everyone needs a side hustle and it has always been so important to me to give back to my community. Thank you to our almost 200 consigners for helping me keep the store stocked, I truly couldn’t keep up solely on my own 🫶🏼

Yesterday on my personal account I was vulnerable and honest about how burnt out I have felt this summer. Ever since my car accident time feels like it has slipped through my fingers, and all the goals I thought I would have achieved for the store are still sitting on the back burner as we enter autumn season.
To all my fellow small business owners, especially those of you who are keeping brick and mortars open in this economy, just know you are NOT ALONE!
It’s hard to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and be the boss every single day. It’s hard to put on a one trick pony show for the general public when your mental and physical health is struggling to keep up with your basic human needs at home.
On the days I doubt myself, I just think, someone needs the space. More often than not a conversation or connection follows that makes me know with conviction Latigo is an important community space. It’s not about the clothes, it’s about how you feel when you walk out of my store. And I hope folks are better off than when they first walked in 🫶🏼💌

Thanks for being here yall. We signed the lease two years ago. And I gotta remind myself just how far I’ve come since then 🤍❤️💙 This is still just the BEGINNING 🤠

Keep supporting your small businesses downtown! We love yall! Thank you for a whirlwind of a summer here at Latigo Western 💋 by @latigowesternstore

Autumn is in the air at last 🍂🍁 We are officially taking in fall and winter fashion on consignment for the change in seasons. Knits, wool, flannels, sweaters, corduroy, waxed canvas, if you’ve gotta clean out the closet we wanna see what you’ve got 🤠

Don’t worry Dolly isn’t going anywhere 🦋

Has been the most beautiful and bittersweet few days in the store paying respects to the Queen of Country and the queen of our hearts 🤍💔

Catch us slinging the best in western fashion this weekend 10-5 Friday & 10-4 Saturday 💌

Dolly would want us to put on our Sunday best in her honor 🕊️

Latigo Western will always live by the gospel of Dolly 🦋

If you see someone without a smile, give them yours

Be the light in times of darkness

Don’t ever let someone dim your rhinestone sparkle or diamond smile

You can be a backwoods Barbie and live a fabulous but quiet life in the country

What happens to the most vulnerable, poor, and marginalized of society is happening to each and every one of us

Stand up against the big man to protect Mother Nature

Your life is measured not by the dollars in your bank account, but in how many folks you can hold your hand out to and make a positive impact

Just because you live in a rural space doesn’t mean you need to be afraid to speak out against injustice or go against the traditional status quo

🦋 WHAT WOULD DOLLY DO? 🦋

So I traded my mourning dress for my Queen of Peace raglan, my butterfly ring, and big ole ☮️ earrings to welcome yall in with a smile on my face to give to somebody who needs it today 🕊️

Dolly Parton’s song Bargain Store has been the heartbeat of this space since we first opened our doors. I wore my best Steel Magnolias mourning outfit today, and the first piece of consignment I pulled out of the bag this morning was this handmade 1960s butterfly dress that could have been paired with her iconic beehive wig.

Each of us have so many different universes inside of us, a truly unique quilted soul of so many different colors.
🩷❤️🧡YALL MEANS ALL 🩵💙💜
Dolly gave us permission to embody our most feminine, maternal, beautiful, fabulous and sensitive selves while standing tall and unapologetic in our worth and ambition and talent and ambition in a man’s world.
A true feminist, a champion of the vulnerable and working class, ally to our queer brothers and sisters, outspoken supporter of the African American community with so much of her music derived in the country and bluegrass roots of Appalachian and the Deep South.

Don’t be afraid to use your voice as a woman in western and rural spaces. Lead by example, and love, to create the change in your communities that would make Dolly proud. Don’t dim your light for ANYBODY ✨ 59 years of marriage to her beloved Carl, who remained on the sidelines of her superstar life and certainly never tried to rein her spirit in. May we find comfort in Carl welcoming her home 🕊️

Dolly Parton loved EVERYONE
And everyone loved Dolly

May we all be united in our grief and celebration of a once in a lifetime voice, whose music has flowed through generations of our families and will remain forever timeless and crystalline.

What would Dolly do?

If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.
She welcomed the poorest and most disadvantaged of all of us into her light. She dedicated her life to bringing as much positive change to this world in her 80 years, and she has earned her eternal rest in plush cotton as her family shares were her wishes after a life in diamonds and wigs.

Rest in peace and power Dolly 🦋

Latigo will remain a shrine to the queen for as long as I see fit. Has been so cathartic for folks today to have a community space to share stories and tears. Come in for a hug if you need it 💌 by @latigowesternstore
