Here’s how I’m trying to get out of a reading slump 👀

Swipe to see what I chose and why!🧚‍♀️

What the River Knows by @isabelibanezbooks 💧

This has been on my TBR for such a long time! It’s part of duology which is always fantastic for a reading slump.

I really liked the idea of reading about Egypt in a historical setting while mixing my usual genre choice of fantasy and romance!

Loving this one so far as the mystery unfolding is really interesting and easy to follow 🤍

The Wretched Divine by @authoradalyngrace 🪽

As a fantasy girlie the concept on this one drew me in immediately!

In current popular fantasy, angels and demons are usually seen in an urban setting but this one I would describe as more high fantasy.

Not too far into this one but it immediately captures your attention (perfect for a reading slump!) 🤭

Poisoned Ivy by @authoravarani 🍂

I received this as an advanced reader copy through netgallet and was so intrigued by the mystery element of this story!

This has been super easy to follow along with and it’s nothing like any other college book I’ve read before.

Definitely check this one out at release time in April 2027!

Thanks for scrolling through! 💕📖 by @latishas.library

Rebel Blue Ranch Series by @authorlylasage 🤠

Miss Lyla Sage put crack in these books!!! I loved every second on this series. Her new paranormal series Sweetwater Peak is on my immediate TBR as it’s perfect spooky season vibes. 👻

If you’re in a slump, I can guarantee that this series is the perfect solution!! 🤍📖

Here’s my reading wrap up for August 🧚‍♀️

Here are my thoughts on everything I read ⬇️

All the Time in the World 🌍
So fun and this is a immersive audio experience! Would totally recommend for a short audiobook.

Harvest Season 🔪
This was such an anticipated read for me and I was so disappointed! I found this so boring and very much gives ‘middle book syndrome’ :(

The Games Gods Play 🏛️
This was sooo fun and fast paced! I absolutely loved this one.

Daggermouth 💀
The first 50% felt quite slow, but after that I was hooked! And the ending?! Insane!

Wild and Wrangled 🐴
Final book in this series and my favourite one 🥹 I am a sucker for a second chance read. I also adored the past and present time line!

The Poison Daughter🪻
This was not for me! I was expecting an interesting magical world and this wasn’t that at all. I also didn’t love the main characters and the decisions that they made throughout this story.

Overall a decent month! If you’ve read any of these, I would love to hear your thoughts 💭 by @latishas.library
