UPDATE! UPDATE! Related to the Coast Guard VENDOR CONTRACT! See information!

🚨IMPORTANT UPDATE🚨
The event scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th and Thursday, June 25th is being hosted for larger scale base services vendors that are already registered in SAM.gov

A Request for Information (RFI) was released for larger scale base service management needs and this event is a follow up to provide more insight. If a vendor that is not SAM.gov registered shows up tomorrow or Thursday, they will not be admitted.

There is a plan in the works to host an Information Day in July for local vendors to assist them in getting registered on SAM.gov and to educate them on the process of working with the Coast Guard. This day is being coordinated with City staff.

FYI!!!!!! ATTENTION!!!!!! For all who thought the City of Birmingham could issue out federal contract for the Coast Guard Headquarters located at Birmingham Southern NOT!!! It’s a federal agency not a city agency! There is a difference! If you are interested in trying to land a contract here is some valuable information for you!

🚨‼️Hey Birmingham: The Coast Guard has an open Request for Information (RFI) for vendors who could potentially contract with the new training center.

There will be an open house next week (June 24-25) for interested industry members to walk through the potential scope of work and talk with the Points of Contact prior to submitting information for the RFI.

Congratulations in that order! We got Virtual Parole Passed in this legislation session! What does this mean! Individuals that are incarcerated can now attend there parole hearings virtually! History was made!
